Mary was standing in the living room, looking shaken when Emily walked inside. "I can't get close to him, but he needs this immediately." She told Emily the moment she saw her, holding out a syringe. "It doesn't matter where you put it, just get the medicine in his system." She said urgently.

"Okay," Emily replied quickly, then quickly took it from Mary and walked into Loki's bedroom. "Loki? Hon... it's Emily."

Loki looked over at Emily from where he had backed himself into a corner. One hand was used to brace himself and the other was clawing at his chest. "Don't know... what they did..." he said, his breath coming out in strained gasps.

"Shh, it's okay," she soothed as she slowly walked towards him. "I have something that will help you instantly. Will you let me give it to you?"

"Please..." he gasped, trying to ask for help, but struggling too much to get the words out.

Emily rushed to his side as she uncapped the syringe with her teeth then stuck him in the arm. She moved to sit in front of him and helped him to lay down on the floor with his head in her lap. "Give it a moment to work, try to take deep breaths."

Loki tried to take deep breaths, and after a short time, his breath started to come easier. It took a good ten minutes before his breathing was normal again. "Is it over?" He asked softly once he had calmed down.

Emily ran her hand through his hair, knowing it soothed him. "It's over Loki. It's over." Tears still welled in her eyes and threatened to fall as she leaned over him and cradled his head in her arms. "You're okay," she whispered.

"Are you sure the link was broken with all of them?" He asked her, truly enjoying her comfort this time. "My heart still feels weird, like it's not beating right."

"It's the medicine you were given. It should normalize soon," she said softly. "Will you let Mary check on you?"

"I will if you will stay with me." Loki answered softly. "Can I move back to bed?"

"I'm not going anywhere," Emily assured. "Do you think you can stand?"

"With help I might be able to." Loki replied, then slowly started to move to get up.

Emily put a hand on his back and helped him sit up. Once she felt he had his balance, she got to her feet and slowly helped Loki stand. "Take small steps, were not far away."

Loki staggered some, but made it to the bed without too much trouble. "My head feels so dizzy." He told Emily as he sat on the edge of the bed. "And I feel like I'm going to be sick."

She rubbed his back. "Hold on," she said softly. "Mary! I need something for nausea."

Mary hurried in, having been waiting right outside the door. "Hold on, I need to check his IV and hook it back up first." She said, working quickly to check the IV catheter in his arm, then snap the line back on. As soon as it was ready, she put several injections into the line. "He needs to just relax for a while. Also, see if you can get him to drink some water, the more the better, but slowly."

Emily nodded and pulled his hair from his face. "Do you think you could drink some water?" She asked him.

Loki shook his head. "Not yet. It will come right back up if I do." He said and laid down in bed. "I will try once my stomach calms down." He promised.

"The healer lady wants to come in. I told her I had to make sure it was alright first." Mary told Emily softly.

"Do you feel up to it Loki?" Emily asked softly.

"If you will stay, it's fine." Loki told Emily. Mary walked over and opened the door for the healer, who came in a few moments later.

"I can't return his full amount of magic, but I can give him a little boost. I need it quiet though, to work." The healer told all three of them.
