Loki hurried after Emily, quickly catching up to her. "Please don't leave, I will go if needed." He offered, not wanting to ruin the party for her.

Emily shook her head as she pressed the door for the elevator. "I've had enough for one night, Loki. I'm sorry, but I am going to bed."

Loki looked down at the floor. "I am sorry I have upset you." He said sincerely. "May I sleep on the couch in the apartment, or do I need to find somewhere else to sleep for the night?" He asked softly.

"Loki.... just because I am upset doesn't mean you need to sleep elsewhere. The bed is yours as well." The elevator dinged and the large door opened before she entered and turned to face him. "Are you coming with me or staying here?"

"Where I am from, that is what it means." Loki explained. "I will leave it up to you if I stay or go." He said as Mary walked up.

"Em... are you alright?" She asked, concerned.

"I'm fine," Emily answered as she held the elevator door open with her hand. "Go back and enjoy yourself. Loki, you can come with me if you want to."

"What if we turn this into a girl's night?" Mary suggested, wanting to cheer her sister up. "We can get out of here and do something fun, just the two of us, and maybe Nat."

Emily gave Mary a halfhearted smile. "Another night Mary, I will gladly do so. Tonight, I just need to destress... maybe speak with Loki."

"Are you sure? We could even just go for a coffee if you want." Mary said, making one last attempt.

"Yes, Mary I am sure. Go and enjoy yourself, go mingle and dance with Steve. Have fun."

Mary blushed softly. "I have my phone, don't hesitate to call if you need anything." She said, meaning it. She watched as Loki hesitantly walked into the elevator with Emily.

"I will," Emily replied with a soft smile. "Go now, I bet he's waiting for you."

Mary gave a little nod then walked away to return to the common room.

Loki stayed quiet for the elevator ride and walk to their condo. Once inside the apartment, he went over to tend to his fish tank.

Emily sighed softly to herself as she quietly walked into the bedroom and stood in front of the dresser as she began to remove the pins from her hair.

Loki sat on the floor in front of the tank after feeding the fish and just watched them swim around. He eventually shifted into a t-shirt and sweats but stayed where he was. He kept an ear out for Emily but decided to give her space for now.

After attempting three times on her own, Emily huffed and turned to look out the bedroom doorway. "Loki?" She called quietly. "Could you help me with the zip of my dress?"

Loki looked back then stood up and walked over. Standing behind Emily, he gently unzipped her dress. "Is there anything else I can do?"

"You can help me out of it so I can hang it up," she answered quietly as she turned to face him, holding up the front with one hand.

Loki nodded then carefully helped Emily out of the dress. "Do you want me to send it out for cleaning?" He asked.

Emily shook her head as she turned to face him, revealing the matching hunter green lingerie she had put on. "No, I'll just hang it back up. Thank you though."

"I will be in the living room if you need anything." Loki said softly, then turned and walked back to the tank.

After changing into sleepwear, Emily walked into the living room to see Loki was still watching his fish. "Loki? Sweetheart? Why don't you come to bed."
