The next day, Mary returned from her meeting with Stark just after lunch. She walked into the apartment hoping Emily would be ready to go dress shopping. "Em? You ready?" She called out, closing the door behind her.

"Yes!" Emily called. "I just put dishes in the dishwasher from lunch. Loki is watching a movie while he's browsing a couple of books."

"Are you sure he will be alright for a few hours?" Mary asked, a little nervous about Loki's magic.

"He knows to have Jarvis call me if he needs something new to do," Emily explained as she walked into the entryway pulling on her coat.

"And he's alright with us being gone for a while?" Mary asked, then pulled on her coat as well.

Emily nodded and smiled. "Yes. He's excited to see what dress I will be wearing for the party."

"What is he wearing to the party?" Mary asked curiously, then opened the door and led them out.

"I'm going to have a suit measured for him, which reminds me, Jarvis, can you make the appointment for Loki to be measured for a suit please?" Emily said as she shut the door behind her and followed Mary down the hall.

"Yes Miss Emily, when would you like the appointment?" Jarvis asked a moment later.

Emily and Mary made it to the elevator before she responded. "Could you do it for tomorrow around three?" She asked.

"The appointment is scheduled and confirmed for tomorrow at three fifteen." Jarvis confirmed once they were in the elevator.

"Thank you, Jarvis." Emily turned to Mary and bounced on the balls of her feet. "Where do you wanna look first?"

"We could try that new shop across town? I have a car now, so it won't be a long drive." Mary answered.

"That sounds fun. It would be better than the crowded mall this time of year," Emily agreed.

"I think they might also have a better selection of dresses than the mall." Mary pointed out. When the elevator opened, she led them out front where her car was already waiting for them.

"The perks of valet and Stark Tower are always nice," Emily commented as she climbed into Mary's car.

Mary slid into the driver's seat. "Yes it is. Stark said it's all part of the employment package." She said, then put the car in drive and pulled away from the tower.

Emily looked over at her friend with widened eyes. "Does that mean you took the job?"

"Yes, I did. It took a bit for us to work out a contract we are both happy with, but we finally did." Mary admitted.

"That's great! I told you Tony is a good boss. He's willing to work with people."

"He didn't act like he wanted to negotiate much, but you know the pay was the biggest concern of mine." Mary said, taking a right turn onto a new street.

Emily nodded. "I know. But I'm still glad that it all worked out for the better."

"Me too. We agreed to a yearly salary. I won't get paid overtime for long hours, but I won't lose pay when there's no work." Mary explained.

"That sounds like a good thing. I look forward to working with you when I'm moved around. Tony has me do whatever he needs me for."

"We will be working together at first, I know that much. I will need help building my files for everyone." Mary said. When she found the shop, she pulled in and parked the car.

Emily grinned. "I can help with that. Do you need to talk to everyone?" She asked.

"I will start by looking over what Stark already has, then I will talk to everyone according to what information I still need." Mary explained. She shut the car off then opened the door and stepped out into the chilly air.
