Chapter Twenty Seven

This one is short, so I figured I would let you guys get two chapters of this story tonight

Loki stared up at the ceiling while he held Emily in his arms as they laid on the couch. His mind swirled with different things, each one of them more pressing than the last. "I think we need to put things in place so we can be open about our relationship." Loki said softly.

Emily propped her head up from his chest so she could see his face better. "What do you mean?"

"I still think I will be forced to leave here, so I need to have a place to go just in case." Loki explained, then brushed a stray strand of hair from Emily's face.

"If that happens, which I doubt, we can look for an apartment together," Emily assured him.

"Do you still have the old place?" Loki asked curiously.

"I'm not sure," she replied as she began drawing patterns on his chest. "Mary might have left, which means the landlord will find someone else to rent it."

"Can you find out if she ever comes back?" Loki asked, wanting to have a place ready before going public as a couple.

Emily chuckled as she trailed her hand down his side, watching as he flexed at her touch. "She'll come back. When she does, I will ask her."

"Thank you. I just want to have a place ready in the event we need to leave quickly." Loki said, then tilted Emily's chin to kiss her softly.

She smiled into the kiss, then nipped gently at his bottom lip. "I love your soft kisses."

"I love everything about you." Loki said sincerely. "Everything about you is perfect."

Emily blushed, then felt herself shiver as she remembered she was completely nude. "Do you want to move to the bedroom?" She asked.

"I want to see that map... but I don't want you getting dressed yet. I learn better from a nude teacher." Loki said with a smirk.

"Oh really?" She asked with a smirk of her own. "What if I tell you that I'm cold?"

"I will hold you close for body heat." Loki grinned.

She chuckled and turned to reach for the remote and turned on the tv. "Jarvis, could you put a map of the US on the tv?" She asked.

"Yes, Miss Emily." Jarvis replied, then a map of the US appeared on the tv.

"There's your map. That is the United States, only part of our planet," she explained quietly.

"What does it all mean though? I can't read the letters." Loki reminded Emily.

"Every shape is it's own state, within each state are thousands of cities. There's a whole lot of people," she answered.

"Where are the forest lands? Everything is so... close together." Loki said, confused.

"It's not as small as it looks. There's forests, deserts, beaches, and more throughout the US."

"It doesn't look like it. I need to show you one of our maps so you can see what I mean." Loki said, not overly impressed by the map.

"Hold on. Jarvis, can you show a map that has forests and everything else please?" She asked.

"Yes Miss Emily." Jarvis said, then the map changed.

"Is this a different area?" Loki asked curiously.

"It's the same map, but it now shows everything," she told him.

"So all the mortals live in all the forest lands?" He asked her.
