Chaper 80

Her sleep was interrupted by a silent breathe on her neck, a soft brush if a hand on her stomach. She came to full consciousness and found Toby's body pressed against hers, his hand drawing circles on her enlarged stomach.

She moaned to signal her awakening, and Toby tightened his grip around her.

"Happy Valentines Day," he whispered.

Spencer closed her eyes and sighed in response. "I completely forgot," she apologized. "Just with everything that was going on-"

Toby's mouth found his way to her ear and stopped her explanation.

"Your gift to me is coming in six and a half months," he said, smiling.

"That soon already? It seems like just yesterday we found out."

"Well it was only a month ago. But you'd already been pregnant for a few months..." he paused. "How did you not figure it out before?"

Spencer flipped onto her left side to face him. "Well, I didn't notice the first time I missed, but then I noticed the second time but just chalked it up to stress. And my period is never regular," she laughed.

"All that aside, our baby is coming soon, and I couldn't be more ready," he added, pecking her on the lips.

Spencer sat up and pushed herself off the bed, crossing the room to the joined bathroom. She put her contacts in and splashed cold water on her face per her morning routine.

"What do you say we see a movie tonight?" She called into the bedroom.

"Sounds good. With Hanna?" Toby replied.

"I was thinking we could invite Kylie, too."

"Sounds like a plan," he said, and stood up himself. "I'm going to go make breakfast."

"I'll be out in a minute," Spencer replied.

Just then, she had a thought. The biggest symptom of pregnancy was morning sickness, something Spencer hadn't yet encountered. Her mind whirled multiple directions. Was this a sign of bad things to come? Or was she just lucky? After a few minutes of paranoia, she found her way to the kitchen.

She walked in to see Toby and Hanna sitting at the island, full plates of eggs and ham in front of them. Hanna saw her enter the room and smiled.

"I made you some oatmeal. Toby told me you couldn't eat eggs," she said, pointing to the counter.

Spencer raised her eyebrows. "You made this?"

"Have a little faith. I'm not a helpless high schooler anymore," she chuckled.

Spencer grabbed her food from the counter and sat down. "Well thank you."
