Toby could feel his heart pounding in his chest as the great mahogany doors to the room opened. Ada Lynn skipped down the aisle, tossing petals haphazardly out of her basket.

A memory flashed in Toby's brain.

He stepped closer and closer, until they were inches away. Hesitantly, he placed his lips on hers. After her initial shock, she kissed back. She gathered the fabric of his shirt between her fingers as his arms wrapped around her waist. He finally pulled away, completely shocked.

"I was not expecting that," her words resonated in his mind as Emily emerged from the hallway, Paige on her arm. Another memory.

They ran towards each other until he caught her in a tight embrace. "No, please. Don't let me go," she pleaded. He held tightly to her, in fear of her slipping out of his grasp. She reached up and captured his lips in her own, smiling broadly as she did so. Moisture pricked at the corners of their eyes as they melted together into another hug. Later that day, her willingness to show him her love, and for him to show her his love. The light illuminating her face as he made love to her for the first time, her desire for him. Only to be ruined by a single disastrous anniversary.

He was so absorbed in his thoughts that he didn't notice that he was now accompanied by Daniel and Jacob. He turned around to smile at them, both smiling back.

He watched as Hanna and Travis glided down the blue carpet. There was love in their eyes, even if they didn't realize it. Toby did, however. It was the exact same look that danced in Spencer's coffee colored orbs every time she looked at him.

Which reminded him of the night in the diner. As he attempted to explain himself, he couldn't bring himself to look her in the eyes. He had broken her beyond repair, and knew she would never love him again. But he finally caught a glimpse of her eyes, locked on his own. There was now no denying that he was still resided in a large part of her heart. Even if it was cracked and mangled beyond recognition, it was still there, and she still loved him.

Before long, Aria and Ezra strode along the same path the others had taken before splitting up into their respective sides. Ezra stood beside Toby and leaned in to whisper in his ear.

"She's coming soon, no pressure," he joked.

Toby chuckled to himself in slight. What was the point? Who cares what went wrong? This wedding wasn't about speeches, and dresses, and big parties. This wedding was to show each other that there was no thought of living their lives with anyone else. That they really were the only ones for each other.

So Toby wasn't even nervous as Mike and Joshua joined him. He wasn't nervous when the orchestra started playing Canon in D Major. He wasn't even nervous when the doors opened once more, revealing his soon-to-be wife on her father's arm, smiling broadly up at him.
