Keep Me Safe

Chapter 70

Mike was now with John and Melissa in their house, waiting for Hanna to wake up. His one goal had been to keep her safe. He had succeeded so far. He had called Paige, telling her where they were. Now Melissa was heading to meet the Spencer and Emily to take Hanna's place.

She found her sister and began planning their next plan of attack.

"We got a text, hinting at the location of the next member," Spencer informed her. "So I think you should go."

Melissa agreed and was soon on her way. To her surprise, the clues leading her to Ezra and Travis.

"Where's Toby?" Melissa asked.

"Chasing Wren," Ezra answered.

"Wren is apart of this?" Melissa asked.

"Yeah. He showed up and Toby showed no mercy. He's gonna kill him. We were actually just leaving, for backup."

"I'll go with," Melissa offered.

"Let's head out," Travis confirmed, and the three were on their way.

Meanwhile, Emily and Spencer took a break to make sense out of everything.

"Toby is chasing Wren, Melissa, Ezra, and Travis are going in for backup. Hanna is with Mike at Melissas house, and John is heading this way to help us." Spencer clarified.

"Cece is dead, Wren is getting his ass kicked, but Ali and the other member are no where to be found." Emily explained.

"Right. And it's still our job to figure that out."

"No need," a voice sounded from behind them. There stood Jenna, still part of the A team.

"Tell us where Ali is, and we'll let you go," Spencer bartered.

"Why would I do that, when I have the chance to take you bitches down?" Jenna fired, lunging at Emily.

"Not so fast." John had arrived, in uniform. "Put your hands up or I shoot."

"For what?" Jenna growled.

"You're under arrest for the stalking and attempted murder of Hanna Marin, Aria Montgomery, Emily Fields, and Spencer Hastings."

John took a step towards her, but Jenna was too quick, she darted out of his reach, sprinting for a way out. But John drew his gun, and that was the end. Jenna crumpled to the ground, another member of the A team: dead.

Spencer's phone vibrated on her pocket, a call from Paige.

"Wren is dead, Toby killed him. But the body's gone. So is Melissa. Ezra said that they turned around for a second and they disappeared."

Spencers heart began to race, trying to process the information. "Melissas gone?" She choked.

"Yeah, they didn't see who took her or where they went."

"Hold on, I just got a text."

"Want to find your sister? I'll meet you halfway between you and your hubby. Start walking. -A"

Fifteen minutes of walking later, Spencer found Toby, who took her in his arms. She buried her face into his neck, letting out a small sob. The entire ordeal seemed surreal to her. This was almost too easy, they just had to kill people. And now it was only Ali left.

Another text.

"So close Spence. Turn around. -A"

Spencer obeyed, finding a blue wagon covered in hay.

"Start digging, bitch. -A"

Spencer raked her hands through the dense material, unearthing a piece of cloth.

She gasped when the rest of the object was revealed.

It was Wrens body.

Another foot down, another body.

It was Melissa.

She was dead.
