Chapter 105

The ceremony was beautiful. Chairs were arranged in a circle surrounding the podium on which Emily and Paige stood on. Immediate family and close friends were seated in the inner circle, including Spencer, Aria, Hanna, Toby, Ezra, and Mike. Their vows had admittedly brought tears to Spencer's eyes, and she marveled at how a wedding could be so glamorous and yet so raw.

They took pictures on the beach afterwards, and the entire wedding party escorted the newlyweds into their reception. Their home had been decorated for the event, an exquisite five course meal set out on buffet tables in the dining room. They enjoyed their dinner before retreating to the large patio for dancing.

As a slow melody rippled through the air, Spencer rested her head against Toby's chest, swaying to the rhythm.

"Do you ever just think about it?" She whispered, just loud enough to be heard.

Toby stared down at her in confusion. "Think about what?"

"I don't know. Just the fact that we're all married, Aria has a family of her own, Hanna's pregnant, were buying a house, and we're all grown up. It's like there isn't anything to look forward to anymore."

He chuckled. "There is still plenty for us to look forward to. We still have our whole lives ahead of us." He pressed his lips against the top of her head and she fell into his touch once more.

The reception wrapped up around two, and the group retreated to their hotel. Ezra and Aria had to skype their children at home, so they left Spencer, Toby, Hanna, and Mike in the dimly lit lobby to converse. Hanna talked about her pregnancy, Spencer talked about the house, and the men talked about work. It was a good conversation until Mike spoke up to the whole group.

"Ezra's been cheating again."

Toby exchanged a shocked look with his wife, who noted that Hanna wasn't that surprised.

"How do you know?" Spencer asked.

"Phone records, emails, Aria knows about it. She told me. And I told Hanna," Mike answered.

"What is she gonna do?" Spencer inquired, not sure why her friend had kept her husband's infidelity from her.

Mike shrugged. "I guess she's just afraid to confirm it. She wants to hang onto what they have before she leaves him."

Spencer wiped away a tear, the emotions from the wedding converted into sadness for Aria. "Is she doing that then? Taking the kids, too?"

Hanna spoke up this time. "That's what I would do. Sorry, Mike, but if you turned into a lying, cheating scumbag, I'd take this baby and get the hell out of the state."

Toby just shook his head at the situation. "Poor Aria."

His wife leaned into his embrace, tired and confused and angry. "Poor Aria."

So this storyline is back! It disappeared when Avery was born and now Ezra is back to being bad. Hope none of you are too angry about that!
