"Spencer, we have to leave in 10 minutes!" Toby called into the bedroom.
"I just have to grab the bags!" She responded.
A minute later, Spencer returned to the living room, suitcase and carry-on bag in tow.
"You ready?" Toby asked, planting a small kiss on her lips
"Yeah, let me just run to the bathroom, okay?" Spencer chirped.
They had gotten up insanely early for their 9 o'clock flight out of Milwaukee. They decided to leave early so they could arrive in California in the afternoon. Today was the 20th or December, and they would come home a week later. Spencer had been dreading having to see Aria and Ezra and hearing all about their second pregnancy, when she and Toby weren't even married yet.
An hour later, they checked their bags and passed through security. At 8:00, the sat down for breakfast in the concourse.
"Jeez, Spence, slow down!" Toby laughed as Spencer inhaled her coffee.
"It's early," she groaned, attempting to justify her third cup.
An hour later, the plane sped down the runway, soon lifting into the air.
"I'm going to work on my schoolwork," Spencer decided, reaching underneath the seat to retrieve her laptop from the seat below her.
"Well," Toby started," I think I'm going to sleep."
"I'll wake you up before we land in Phoenix, okay?" Spencer said, rubbing her fingers through his hair.
"Love you," Toby whispered.
"I love you, too," Spencer responded.
She saw him smile faintly before drifting off to sleep.
