"Are you almost done in there, Spence?" Toby called into the bathroom.
"Now I am," Spencer replied, opening the door.
"Wow," Toby gasped.
"Do you like it?" Spencer asked, motioning to the short black dress she was wearing.
"I love it, and I love the girl who's wearing it even more," he answered as he kissed his girlfriend.
Much to his disappointment, Spencer pulled away and flounced out of the bedroom. "Now is the time," Toby decided. He locked himself in the bathroom and pulled out his phone.
"Hey Em, we're leaving in a few. You know where to go right?"
Emily's voice rang through the other end.
"Yup, the dugout right in front of the Baker House," she beamed.
"Thank you so much, Em. I knew I could count on you," Toby gushed.
"Hey, anything I could do to make this night perfect for you two. I'll see you then."
"See you then, Emily."
And with that, Toby pushed out of the bathroom and crossed to room to the dresser. He opened the second door, took out the velvety black box and shoved it in his pocket.
