Jimin was swirling the wine he had gotten for himself around his glass while he was standing at a corner, his eyes looking towards the exit in hopes of seeing you returning soon in the room.
The urge to step out of there himself and come find you, was growing inside him with each minute that passed by as in his mind many scenarios started getting born. Imagines that he himself realised immediately after they crossed his mind that they were a bit too edgy and nothing more but the construction of his fear and doubt that was rooted inside him through the passage of years.
He left a deep exhale leave his lips before he brought the glass to his lips one more time, only to almost choke on it when a hand hit him on the back startling him.
"Seriously? I almost stained my clothes because of you." Jimin glared at Taehyung that had found his way beside him and his brother smiled at him before he bumped him with his shoulder, making his body move slightly once more.
"You are putting your clothes above your life? I thought you were gonna go off about the fact that you almost choked on your wine." Taehyung smiled and proceeded to take a proper sip from his wine this time, his eyes travelling around the room once more, before he finally replied to him.
"There's no point in scolding you about that. We both know you enjoy making my life difficult after all." Taehyung's smile grew wider at his statement, his eyes falling to his feet for a bit then take a quick glance at Jimin who seemed to be searching the room for something.
"Looking for Mr Jung?" He questioned recalling the fact that when he had met him earlier upon his arrival at this party, he had asked about Jimin and had told him to tell him to pay him a greeting when he was to arrive.
"Oh right, I have yet to greet the host of this event properly. I should go do so before my belated actions, comes to be considered offensive to him." Jimin passed his glass to Taehyung and once he took hold of it he took off to get done with this obligation that was to reflect his good manners.
It didn't take long for Mr Jung to fall in Jimin's sight and he confidently walked towards the elder who was standing by the side of his aunt, having a conversation with some shareholders of Jimin's company which he knew well.
"Good evening Gentlemen...Madam, It's very pleasant to see you all doing well."He bowed at them respectfully and placed a charming smile on his lips, making the people whom he talked to smile back at him.
"Mr Park, so nice to see you again. "Mr Jung looked him straight in the eyes as he welcomed him, reaching out his hand to him for a handshake, that Jimin took without hesitation, bowing his head lightly once more as he held his hand.
"I almost thought that you didn't make it to the event when I saw your brother arriving without you." He added and Jimin threw his eyes towards his aunt for an instant, thing that made her look away from him, rather uncomfortably.
"I would in no way miss such a joyful event" He lied, as he would have definitely skipped it if it wasn't for the fact that you were here and if he didn't have Taehyung capable of putting his threat -that he texted him along with your photo- to action. Only the thought that he would be going around presenting you as single and trying to find you a boyfriend throughout the whole evening, made Jimin's blood boil.
"Aunty, very pleasant to see you after such a long time. You are holding out pretty well." He felt the need to leave some words directed to her and he did so as politely as he could master after yesterday and the things he had heard that inevitable had disturbed a bit further the image he held for her, not because he thought of her cheating actions as wrong, but because he could not understand how a mother, could live her life, without even looking back at the child she left behind. No matter in how much of good hands she had left Taehyung, in Jimin's head it seemed absurd and impossible for a mother, to not long for her child.
