Chapter 79

Jin kept tapping his foot on the ground as he kept hearing the line going on his phone but no one picked up. The fact sure was playing with his nerves as for the past two weeks this is all Namjoon has been doing. 

He had managed to talk with him after he had gotten out of the hospital yet despite the truth that he told him, he had shown no reaction whatsoever. Like a puppet, he had just stood there nodding his head as if Jin was speaking of some business subject and not his literal life. The apathy sure had made Jin very annoyed with him, for he found his blood boiling towards the unfairness that Elle was going through and which apparently she has withstood for nothing for his brother could care less.

Or so he had concluded that night only to be caught by surprise three days after, upon finding out that Namjoon had officially broken up with his girlfriend Byeol, not listening to anyone that tried to pursue him for the opposite. Surely the news had made Jin happy even though he couldn't understand what was going on with him but he assumed that he had needed his time, to come to terms with reality.

Some days after that Namjoon had kept ignoring his constant calls, he had shown up at his office on his own to Jin's surprise and had asked of him to find out the whereabouts of Elle. A task that was not difficult for him to do, for he from the moment he found out that she had left the county had located her and contacted her, in order to offer any potentially needed help so she could start anew. She had stayed by the side of his brother for so many years and had taken care of him as well as she had done her job greatly without fail yet she had left without even an extra monetary compensation and Jin found the fact sure unfair.

Elle sure had sounded surprised when he had called her and offered her to work for him in one of the chains that they have in Japan and she had accepted the offer with a thankful heart and words of gratitude towards him that Jin found them unnecessary for it was the least he could do to take responsibility for her and the brokenness his brother has caused.

Despite knowing her whereabouts well, however, he had hesitated to give the information to Namjoon without him firstly letting him know what he was planning to do. "If you are to only go and mess her life again, I suggest you just mind your business. She deserves to live in a  better way." He had uttered to him firmly and Namjoon had grabbed hold of his shoulders before he had let him see the desperation through his eyes.

"I  want to try. I want to win her back. I may never be the one I used to be but I will try my best to make her love me again. Please, Hyung, please just tell me where is she." He had pleaded and that sure had made Jin weak enough to give in and let him know all he wanted to know. He had even ended up succumbing to one more request of his that was none other but to appoint him head of the department in Japan, as he will be moving there.

Crazy actions and rushed but regardless instead of stoping him or trying to make any rational comment that could possibly hold him back, Jin had booked two tickets for both of them along with a hotel and the two had reached there, some mare hours ago, bringing Jin to this specific moment where they were supposed to eat lunch together before going to the company building, but Nmajoon was nowhere to be seen.

"Did he vanish from the surface of the earth? The heck is he doing with that phone of his" He spoke to no one as he was alone seated at the table, then threw his phone on the chair next to him, giving up on calling him.

Could he have possibly left already to go there?... That would be stupid...as if Elle is gonna be thrilled when she sees him...all he is gonna do is make her panic...ah I shouldn't have brought him here.

He started regretting inwardly, focused on his own thoughts until the sound of a slap echoed around, making him instantly turn around in search of the source, only to witness a man holding his cheek while looking at a woman who had just stood up from her seat, with an astonished gaze.
