Chapter 37

The happiness he was radiating had washed over every individual that he passed by upon arriving at the University, to a point that a plethora of chatters laid behind his every step.

The attention was on him once again even though this time, his handsome face or his choice of clothing, was not what had gained that. It was that smile that was so unusual for everyone in the building to witness. It was that cheerful behaviour and joyful greetings he left to his co-workers that he met in the corridor as he was heading to his office to grab his necessary books for his first lecture.

Jimin had not even noticed that he had shocked the other professors so much that they were left staring speechless for he in -all those years working with them- had never looked at them so pleasantly. As if he was almost happy to see them.

With a behaviour so out of the normal waters that he used to present to everyone,it was more than logical for the people around him to speak, wondering and creating assumptions for their curiosity to be eased.

Some even tried to take sneakily some pictures of him smiling, for if they were to tell this to their other friends that were not present, they most likely would never believe them. The Park Jimin. The Mister poker face and saddle terrifying smile. The one whose aura always carried a seriousness and strictness was now walking, looking genuinely happy.

"Are we sure he doesn't have a secret twin and he is replacing him today?

"Maybe he hit his head and forgot his personality"

"Yah, you are all overreacting. He most likely won the lottery or something."

His students murmured among each other as they witnessed him, entering his office and stepping out of it, soon enough, with a book under his arm.

"Professor! Professor~"A voice echoed loudly, getting Jimin's attention as well as the student's attention, who all turned to look at who had called for him.

Jimin couldn't help but smile, facing Sira who was waving at him and he approached her, ignoring the mass of eyes that were following him.

"How come you are calling me that? You have graduated already." He asked her, and Sira couldn't help but laugh a bit, before she leaned a bit towards him, putting her hand over her mouth so no one else understands or hears what she is about to say.

"It's hard talking to you as an outsider under this specific situation. They all gossipping about you." Jimin threw his eyes around upon hearing her words and most of the students started looking away or starting random conversations with each other, pretending their best that they were coincidentally on that hall.

"I don't think I did anything extra today though? What's wrong with them?" He questioned, finding this wave of attention way more than the usual and he surely couldn't help but find this a bit unreasonable.

"You are smiling. You are seriously smiling. You are screaming happiness and that ain't like you. Like even I was shocked." Sira tried to clarify his confusion and Jimin collected himself almost instantly, erasing his smile and bringing his usual facial expression on, while inside he couldn't help but feel a tiny bit embarrassed for he had left himself get carried away over his own thoughts that consisted of nothing else but you and the moments of love you shared together last night.

He had passed his morning in between giggles and hugs with you after you two had woke up and then he had given you a ride to your work as he promised, despite the fact that he had tried multiple times to pursue you to take the day off and stay with him all day long in his mansion for he surely was more than willing to call absent in his work if it meant that he would have more time with you.

"What brought you here at this early hour? Do you need anything, mayhaps?" He changed the subject as he started walking down the hall, Sira following by his side.

" Actually, Yuki texted me to meet up at a cafe near the university and cancelled on me at the last minute. So since I was around, and Taehyung most likely has already left for work, I decided to visit here just to see the familiar places. I have many memories around here." She explained and Jimin nodded in understanding as surely he could understand the feeling of wanting to visit something that held good memories. No matter if it is in the past, we all have moments that would like to pointlessly reminisce.

"Why are you this happy though?" Sira's question had him clearing his throat a bit, already feeling her suspicious gaze burning the side of his face.

"Nothing specific. I just had a good time with Y/N yesterday. Eat dinner together and all. Did you had fun at the event we left you at?" He looked at her, with an expression that perfectly concealed his true thought that consisted of a slight panic for he was not sure if you wanted yesterday's occurrence to be known. He personally did not think that it was anyone's business as it was your private love life, but the one asking was your best friend and he couldn't help but doubt that you would keep it a secret from her for long.

However, if you were to tell her whatever or not, that shall be your decision and not his so he will keep out of this, no matter what.

"Oh well actually, after you and Y/N left the only worth mentioning thing was Mr dark knight being dramatically jealous over Areum and someone she met at the parking lot which she was refusing to tell him who. You should have seen him, Jungkook's expressions were hilarious." Sira rumbled on more than he expected her to but he surely appreciated the fact that Sira was behaving naturally around him, despite the fact that this was the first time they found each other in the company of one another, without Taehyung or you around.

"If that was the only thing worth mentioning then I surely didn't lose much." He uttered, with an expressionless face that made Sira smiled at him slightly before halting her steps, noticing that the two had reached the doorstep of the auditorium which she assumed that Jimin would enter.

" Well, I guess I will go on with my day. Thanks for the time and sorry if I bothered you by talking to you. I really didn't think much about it. Once I saw you, I just thought it rude to not greet you." She displayed her awkwardness through her words as her hand reached behind her head, and her smile faltered for she couldn't help but grow cautious after the way he responded that did remind her of the sound of coldness and strictness she was used to getting from him when he was her professor and made her see the distance between them, that she dared to ignore momentarily.

"Oh no, worry not. I am not bothered. We aren't strangers. We may not be as friendly but I would like it if we were to see each other as friends. And indeed I would have found it rude if you would have not greeted me." Jimin proceeded to clarify his stance and Sira smiled again, genuinely as he was used to seeing her do around you and Taehyung.

"That's great to know then,  soon to be brother in law! Go torture your students now. Have a nice day~" She lightly patted the side of his arm before she took her leave and Jimin couldn't help but look at her and crack up at the way she had called him.

Taehyung would most likely choke on his own saliva if he was to hear this.

He thought and proceeded to enter the auditorium which was full of people that had been watching him talking at the doorstep with the unknown to them female individual, like a hawk, would observe their pray.

The room fell silent upon his entry but as he was getting ready to start his lecture, the students had started their gossiping spree on their group chat, which soon got flooded with questions about Sira and who was she.

The questions that Daniel that was in that auditorium and in the group chat decided to respond to with a statement that he was aware that it was bound to cause some issues sooner or later.

-"That was Mr Park's girlfriend"
