Life can take you places you never even thought of. It turns the wheel in directions that you didn't even know that existed. In a blink of an eye, it can make a normal moment into something extraordinary and it can turn a boring feeling into excitement.
If there was even anyone to claim that they could predict life, they would be nothing but a fool for there's nothing more unpredictable than life nor you will ever find anything more surprising than it, for good or for worse.
For surely, neither you nor Sira and nor Areum had thought that you would find yourself playing pocket with a bunch of unknown men just because Sira had thought that playing a game would help Ryun and the three of you get to be a bit more comfortable and friendly. Of course when she had stated that joyfully, she was thinking of something like truth or dare or have you ever and had not thought that the group of people that had just entered the cafe and were going to occupy a table near their's, would hear her words and enthusiastically offer them to play a poker game.
When had they rearranged the tables and put them together and when they had pulled out of their jacket a pack of cards, none of you understood for it had happened so fast. Yet once you found yourself involved in this unexpected twist of events, you found yourself slipping in the game and in the desire to win for those people who won the first round against you all almost effortlessly.
The competitive spirit had been awakening in Sira and Ryun and you had ended up trying to win through calculating movements but so far, that had not taken you far, for they kept winning. Areum was not even trying at the first two rounds for she claimed that she didn't know how to play and prefered to observe and she had done so for a while until she left to attend a call briefly.
"We are not gonna lose this game. Bring it on!" Sira hit the table as she stared at the older men, ready for a battle while she held her cards carefully close to her chest, just so none could sneak a peek at her.
"Calm down Xena. This is a Cafe!" Taehyung's voice echoed around as he approached his girlfriend, sarcastically referring to her by the name of a female warrior he remembered from a series he used to watch when he was younger.
"Tae? Oh, you arrived?... Wait there, I have a game to win." She casually brushed him off and turned her attention on the game, leaving him literally dumbfounded while Jimin snickered at the sight, while he kept eye contact with you, for you had happened to let your gaze travel when you heard Taehyung's voice and you had seen him.
"Sira, let's just go...Sira!" You nagged her, while you reached your hand across Ryun's lap and on her shoulder, making Ryun freeze for a moment, just to secure that no accidental touch would happen.
"Ah, Seriously I didn't know I was in a relationship with a seasoned gambler. What happened to you?" Sira gave him a quick smile as she couldn't help but find his reaction funny and a bit overdramatic.
"The game is ending. Just wait a bit. I want to win~"
"You all gonna win in jail if you don't quit it. I just called the cops." Jungkook waved his phone in the air as he spoke his lie loud enough to overpower the chaos and the strangers that were playing with them immediately gathered their things and got scattered, leaving you, Ryun and Sira frozen, for they had even grabbed the cards right off your hands.
"That definitely did not look like it was their first time," Jimin commented as he smiled a bit and approached you only to halt after noticing the shocked facial expression that the unknown to him guy-who was seating next to you- was giving him.
"Pro-Pro-Professor Park?! Why-How-I am sorry Sir! " He stuttered as he stood from his seat, looking like he saw a ghost or something while he blurred an apology he himself didn't know what was it for.
