Chapter 36

After much hesitation and a storm of lies that had swirled inside Elle's head, upon standing face to face with Jin who was waiting for a reply, she ended up feeling her throat getting stinky as her eyes got filled with tears.

Her hands held one another in front of her belly and tighten, in an attempt she was making to keep her composure and not let this moment scare her, for she had nothing to lose anyway. What more than taking her job from her could they do? Her days were numbered there anyways so she inhaled a deep breath and looked at Jin's eyes, uttering the only truth that she could gift him at that moment.

"I am sorry. I can't answer that question." Jin pursed his lips after receiving her words, having noticed her teary eyes that shone in the darkness of the room, reflecting the light of the computer screen.

"Then, I will have to sue you and make sure you end up behind bars for your actions." His claim, left her a bit shaken but her thoughts did not back down for she was more afraid of the truth than going to prison. She was more terrified of having him step on her dear feelings than accept a physical punishment.

"Are you still not gonna tell me? Do you perhaps think that I am joking?" Jin pressured her a bit more but Elle only bowed her head to him, uttering an apology that did not satisfy him.

He couldn't help but feel frustrated with the situation, enough for him to exhale loudly before he proceeded to grab something random from Namjoon's desk and throw it across the room. An action that made Elle close her eyes for a moment, finding her current situation a bit scary.

"I will keep an eye on you. You better obey my every word from today onwards and if...if you make even one mistake...I promise I won't hesitate to be just with you." He warned her then proceeded to take his leave, his footsteps echoing loudly on the silent corridors.

Jin halted his steps once far enough from the office and proceeded to make a call to his secretary, asking him to do an immediate check-up on Namjoon's secretary then after he ended that call, he texted Areum despite the late hour, hoping that she will see his text in the morning and come meet him, the sooner possible. For he no longer wanted to know a bit more about Elle because he wondered why his brother seemed to dislike her so, but because he personally was now suspicious of her.

As your consciousness awoke slowly, you opened your eyes briefly to take in your environment only to close them again, feeling the need to sleep a bit more. Your mind however did not make you such favour as, despite the fact that you had closed your eyes again and remain in your comfortable and warm position in the bed, your mind had proceeded to wake up, slowly reminding you of the events that took place yesterday night between you and Jimin.

The realization had your breath getting stuck in your lungs for an instant before you dared to slowly open your eyes again and come face to face with Jimin's neck area as your head was placed under his chin and he was holding you in his arms, endearingly.

The wave of panic washed you silently, leaving your mind in a state of confusion and fear that grew with every inhale you took. Despite the fact that he had accepted what you considered a flaw to yourself and had embraced your story to it with much understanding, you couldn't help but fear the moment he may use it against you. 

You pulled away and looked at his sleeping face, in your mind trying to assure yourself that your fear was irrational for not all people are the same and he of all people would never use your weaknesses against you because you were now the one person that was important to him, you were now the person he would do anything to keep safe and happy. You are the person you had witnessed him in the past, taking risks for yet you couldn't help but be realistic. SeonGi was supposed to have been such a person for him, and he had gotten you involved in so many crazy things in order to protect her back then yet they still ended up like this. She ended up being nothing but a passerby in his life. 

It was almost ridiculous to admit, for you were the one that requested his trust and blamed him for his inability to do so, you were the one that didn't doubt his love towards you for as long as he had stated so seriously, yet unconsciously deep down, you doubted him. Not because he was untrustworthy or a liar, nor because he had made you feel insecure about his love from the moment you have gotten together and onwards, but your doubt came from yourself. From the simple fact that you had issues, finding yourself worthy of such love.

Most people may not be able to understand if you were to explain it to them but you were not good at receiving anything. Much more if that was to be the love of such depth as his. You never minded helping others and you never hesitated to look after someone's benefit, no matter how much you were to let yourself get used in the process. You had always been aware of what the people that ask the help of you are and you never helped anyone, expecting anything back from them in return. You helped them because you wanted to, not because they asked. You helped them because you thought of it as the right thing to do and not because it was impossible to turn them down.  However, when it comes to receiving, it felt like a burden to you, for no matter how much you were to think about it, you never thought that you had done much to deserve that thing that was given to you.

And in Jimin's case, he claims that you have earned his love with your actions and care and you can see that yet your effort does not match with the amount of love he gives back to you. For he cares way more and loves you way more than you have ever thought that your actions and efforts deserved to earn you.

However, you were aware that those thoughts of yours were not right. Those thoughts of yours were nothing but the whispers of darkness coming from within you, keeping you from truly being as the one you mostly act to be. Yet being aware of that did rarely made your feelings disappear. All it did was make you more doubtful over yourself and scared for no matter how aware you were still unable to control your emotions to the degree you would like to.

"Mmm," Jimin suddenly moved in his sleep, his body bringing you closer to him again and keeping you tightly against his warm flesh. "Sleep a bit more baby...I will drive you to your work."He murmured in a deep raspy voice as you felt his hand caressing softly down your hair once.

"Jimin," You called his name, feeling slightly guilty over your previous thoughts." Do you think...I will ever be different from how I am now?"

"What is it that you want to change babe?" He replied with eyes still closed and his mind not fully present in the moment.

"The way I think, you know...maybe I should search for something that can help with overthinking." He chuckled next to your ear, his voice making you feel calmer all of a sudden.

"I am not sure if there're many effective things against that but I sure have a suggestion." You couldn't help but get slightly hopeful upon hearing his words and you pulled your head a bit in order to see his face once again as you asked him to tell you what he was speaking off.

"If you can't change the fact that you are an overthinker then all you can do is give yourself something entertaining to overthink about." 

"Like what?"You arched your eyebrow at him as he finally opened his eyes and looked at you in a way that left you gulping your saliva down with difficulty.

"Like this very moment right here, My Y/N..."Jimin uttered as he tugged upwards the corner of his lips then leaned closer and captured your lips, in a rather slow and sensual way that had you forgetting all about the things you were thinking prior and now panic over a new realisation that was none other than the fact that now he is gonna display his love for you way more openly and daringly than before.

From today onwards he had the pass to show you all the ways he had ever imagined of loving you and those thoughts sure left you in a mess of embarrassing yet anticipating emotions for you would embrace any love he decides to shower you with. 

For it was from him and he was all you loved.
