Chapter Fifty-Seven

Y/N's POV

It been a month since I was over Rosie's house and had dinner with her family. We've been spending a lot of time together and just having a great time in general. We celebrated our four month anniversary by going to the local fair and had street food all night and watched the fireworks. They lit up her side profile very nicely and I obviously took pictures of her throughout the night.

But today's plan is to go to the zoo because I haven't been there in forever and I know they also have an aquarium there. I texted her that I would pick her up in a few minutes.

I chuckled as I sent my last message and I walked downstairs to go out to my car but was stopped by my mom.

"Hey y/n, I know you're going to the zoo today, so if you want some money for the passes, I can give you some." She said reaching into her wallet and handing me $20.

"Awe, thanks mom! I'm going to get going now and I'll tell Rosie that you said hello!"

"Alright, be safe and have a good time!"

After we both said our 'I love you's, I went outside and started my car. I turned on the radio for the time being and drove to pick Rosie up. I was tapping the steering wheel with me fingers along to the beat of the song and pulled into her driveway. I watched as the front door opened and I saw her call out to who I assumed was her mother and she closed the door and started to make her way over to the car. She was wearing an oversized band t-shirt and you could barely see the shorts she had underneath. It showed off her legs extremely well and I hopped out of the car to greet her and open the door for her.

"M'lady." I bowed to her as she approached the passenger door.

"Come here," She said as I then lifted my body up to meet her eyes. They shined in the sunlight and it highlighted her skin beautifully. She had some sunglasses sitting on top of her head that I just noticed, but I wasn't able to see them for long as she brought me into a sweet kiss.

"I missed you," she said as we pulled apart.

"You saw me three days ago," I chuckled as I helped her get into the car.

"Exactly, three days." I just rolled my eyes at her and closed the door, making my way to the driver's side and got in. I turned on the car and she automatically pulled her phone out to play some music. I smiled as I heard the upbeat music playing from the speakers. I rolled down the windows and put on sunglasses and we were off to the zoo.

"How long will it take to get there?" She asked me as she took my right hand into hers. I smiled down at them and turned my attention back to the road,

"It'll take probably around 30-45 minutes to get there. We have to take the normal roads since the highway is under construction."

"Ok, more time for music," She turned up the volume and sung the whole time. I just stole glances at her every so often because I absolutely adore her side profile.

After the 38 minute drive, I was pulling into the entrance of the zoo and searching for a parking spot. There were a lot of cars here since it was a really nice day out. I found one that was a little walk away and parked. I grabbed my wallet and camera and hopped out, Rosie getting out on her own account. We rounded the car and locked hands as we walked to get our tickets to enter. I handed over the $20 my mom gave me and we got our tickets and I grabbed a map of the zoo.
