Y/N's POV
Today was the day of Rosie's father's funeral. I was going to go with my mom because she was also asked to attend, along with Jennie's, Jisoo's, and Lisa's families.
I walked over to my closest and picked out an all black suit to wear to the funeral. I never was a fan of dresses, so suits were my go to for any formal event. I went to the bathroom to change and then made my way out to have a light breakfast before we had to leave.
I saw my mom had a simple black dress on and simple silver jewelry. Nayeon almost wore the exact same thing. We had a bouquet of flowers on the table that we are going to bring which were white roses.
"You ready to go sweetie?" She asked me with a sad smile. I just nodded my head and we were out the door on our way.
Rosie's POV
Well, today's the day were it'll be like the final goodbye to my father. He was apart of all my life so far and now I was going to have to live the rest without him. He was the reason I was drawn to music, so that made me more determined to make it work in the future. He was the one who told me that I'll find my forever in an unlikely place and time; and I did find her in the middle of a school hallway on my first day.
I went to my closet and took out the black dress that I was going to wear and got changed. I walked out of my room and saw my mother and Alice were ready and just waiting on me. We got to the car and we're off to the church.
When we arrived, I saw Lisa's and Jisoo's family already there, along with other family friends from Australia. I was a little sad not seeing y/n's family not here yet, but I knew they would show up.
As if right on cue, their car pulled up and out came Tiffany, Nayeon, and y/n. I instantly locked eyes with y/n and she gave me a small smile. I mustered up the best smile I could, but I knew it looked pathetic. I saw y/n say something to her mother and she nodded. Then y/n started to walk over to me, keeping eye contact the whole time. I pulled my eyes away for a split second to see that Jennie and her mother had just arrived.
"Hey Rosie." Y/n said opening her arms for me. I walked into her hug and breathed in her perfume. It calmed me down and I was so thankful for her in that moment. Our hug was short lived be I felt a hand on my shoulder and pulled back. It was my mother and she said it was time for the church part of the funeral. We all funneled into the pews and awaited the ceremony.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The church ceremony was beautiful. It had all his favorite flowers and the priest did a great job. I did cry for the majority of it, but I expected that. I kept stealing glances at y/n, but she was fully paying attention to the ceremony. That was heartwarming to see that she really cared about my father, even though she never got to meet him.
We all filed out of the church and made our way to our cars and drove off to the cemetery for the burial. It only took around 15 minutes, but it felt like an hour. I couldn't think straight because my emotions were all over the place and it was draining my energy.
Once we all arrived, we all gathered around where he would be buried and then saw a few men take out the casket from the back of the hearse. I saw y/n and her family standing on the other side of the grave. She looked up at me and she spoke with her eyes to me. I glanced up to my mother and she was watching the whole interaction, so she just nodded her head at me and I made my way over to her. We both met in the middle and were the only ones in a little area. She wrapped me up in the most comforting hug, putting one arm around my waist and the other on the back of my head. I broke down in her embrace and she just held me and whispered sweet nothings in my ear.
