Chapter Ninety-Nine

Rosie's POV

I woke up snuggly in y/n's embrace. The sunlight was shining brightly on the both of us and it felt really nice. I felt y/n shift around a little, but she didn't wake up. I lifted my head up to look past her body at the alarm clock and it read 10:03am. We both slept for a good almost 12 hours last night. And it was much needed.

I decided that it was time to wake her up because I was hungry and I wanted to tell her about the apartment as soon as possible. I slipped my hand under her shirt and rubbed her back gently as I kissed the underside of her jaw. She sighed out and I heard her groan out a little as she opened her eyes slowly. She looked down at me and smiled softly, leaning down to kiss my lips. It was a short one as she then let go of me in order to stretch away the sleep. The little moan of satisfaction that left her mouth was funny and she just squinted at me,

"You think me stretching is funny?"

"Yeah, you look cute right now with your hair all messy too." I said as I kissed her nose and got up from her bed. She soon followed and we both went to the bathroom and did our morning routine together. She then wanted some breakfast and I decided that I would cook for her. I know Tiffany went shopping yesterday, so the fridge was stocked with ingredients.

"What do you want then?" I asked her as we made our way downstairs.

"Pancakes? Hash browns?" She responded. I nodded my head at her suggestions and went to cooking it. She was walking around the kitchen, helping me here and there with everything. I told her to cut up some strawberries and she quietly did that next to me.

Everything was done after some time and we sat across from each other at the table. We were talking about how we should go to the beach since the weather is really nice. When we finished up eating, I thought that this would be the time to show y/n the apartment.

"I'm gonna grab my laptop real quick because I wanna show you something." I said to her as I got up and ran upstairs. I didn't wait to hear a response, but I think I heard her shout an 'okay' as I disappeared. I got it and came back downstairs to see her putting the dishes in the sink.

"Alright, what did you want to show me?" She asked as she turned around at the sound of my footsteps. I pointed my head to the living room and she made her way over to the couch with me. Once she was next to me, I opened my laptop up and made my way to the bookmarked apartment. I clicked it and started showing her the pictures of it.

"So this is what the apartment looks like. It's on the top floor of the complex and has its own private roof area. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living room. There is a window wall in the living room and the whole city it's in is really nice." I explained to her as I showed her all the rooms. I was trying to read her expression, but I couldn't figure out what she was thinking. She looked concentrated,

"How far away is it?"

"About an hour drive from here." I said immediately. She nodded her head and took the laptop away from my grasp and clicked through the pictures once more. I was watching every movement her face made, the slightest smile making its way to her lips.

"I like it," I was about to burst with happiness, "How much is it?"

Fuck.

I know she's gonna get mad at the price. It's above what we wanted to spend on an apartment and she's going to freak out. I'll be using a majority of my money obviously, and I know she won't like that.

"Rosie? How much is it?" She asked, her voice a little more stern. I looked down at the floor and played with my fingers before answering,

"$127,399." I mumbled to her.
