Chapter Twenty-Nine

Rosie's POV

The rest of the day went smoothly and y/n ended up going home later. She gave me a kiss on the forehead, saying that she can't kiss me. I scoffed at her and sealed our lips together, something I love to do with her.

I smiled as I remembered the interaction we had only a few minutes ago. I went the rest of the night with a soft smile on my face as she was the only thing that occupied my mind. I went to my mother's room to check up on her and she was looking through the family pictures we had. There were dried tears on her face and I went over to give her a hug.

"Hey sweetie, I'm just looking through old pictures," she said as her voice broke, "god, I still can't believe he's gone." She said breaking down in front of me. I forced myself not to cry because I had already cried so much in the past two days that if I did, I would feel too exhausted to do anything.

"Ugh , I shouldn't have you comfort me, I'm the mother in the situation," she said trying to laugh everything off, "anyway, who was your friend earlier?" I felt a blush creep up on my cheeks as soon as she mentioned y/n.

"She's just one of my friends that I made. She's a part of Lisa's friend group, along with Jennie and Jisoo."

"So why didn't I see any of them come over here?" She said wiggling her eyebrows.

"Oh my god, you're even worse than them!" I said dramatically as I sighed out, "I can't talk about this anymore." I started to walk out of the room when she called out to me,

"So you like her?" She questioned me. I froze at that because I've never talked about a crush with my mother. I just didn't have any back in Australia, and I didn't think that I would pick one up the first day I arrived here. So I just turned around to here and answered without making eye contact,

"Yes," I then closed her door and walked over to my room to get prepared to sleep. I texted y/n that I was actually to go to school tomorrow and she offered to walk with me. I texted her that she could if she wanted to and she then wished me a good night with a heart. That heart emoji caused my heart to skip a few beats and make me feel all shy. I then told her the same and drifted off to sleep thinking about her.

BEEP BEEP BEEP

I groaned in annoyance as my alarm went off. I slammed my hand down on it to turn it off and stretched the sleep out of me. Once I rolled out of bed, I got changed and did my morning routine. After about 20 minutes, I was walking down the stairs to have some sort of breakfast. I made my way over to the freezer and saw that there were Eggo waffles that just needed to go into a toaster, so I pulled those out and plopped them in.

When they popped up, I grabbed them and started to eat quickly because I didn't know when y/n would arrive. I finished my waffles rather quickly and if on cue, I heard a knock on the front door and practically ran to open it. I took a few seconds to gather myself and then turned the knob and opened the door.

There was y/n standing with a soft smile on her face, looking right into my eyes,

"Hey Rosie, I didn't know when to come and pick you up, so I just decided now. If it isn't a good time, I can just wait out here for you to finish getting ready," she looked me up and down, "well, physical appearance looks ready." She finished with a small laugh. I was wearing black jeans with a striped black and white crop top. I noticed her eyes linger on my exposed skin and smirked.

"Like what ya see y/l/n?" I said smugly. Her face became red and she mumbled a 'yeah'. I laughed at her response and yelled out to my mom that I was leaving for school. She said goodbye back and the two of us were on our way.
