Rosie's POV
Today is y/n's graduation day from college! I'm so fucking proud of her for sticking to school even though it hasn't been the easiest thing. Well, I mean I wasn't in college, so I guess I don't have that much of an opinion, but whatever.
"Do you have your cap and gown?" I shouted at her from the living room. I smoothed out my dress once more before my dashing girlfriend walked through our bedroom door towards me. I stopped everything I was doing as I just shamelessly checked her out. She looked stunning in a simple black suit and tie.
I started to get flashbacks to when we graduated high school together and felt all sorts of emotions hit me at once. We were three years younger, but here we are, still head over heels for each other. And the years definitely did her good as she became more confident in herself. Her jawline became sharper and her body became more mature as well; becoming more well defined in her arms and legs. She also had this radiating energy from her and it was hard to ignore.
"So, how do I look?" She asked me nervously. I looked her in the eyes and brushed off some nonexistent dust from her suit,
"You look hot as fuck, if I put it quite plainly." I saw her break out into a smile and she kissed my forehead. I wanted her to kiss my lips, but then remembered I had red lipstick on.
"Okay, lets get going to the auditorium. Our families and friends will meet us there, so no need to worry about them." I nodded my head and took her hand as we walked out of our apartment. The drive to campus took about 40 minutes, so I was just talking with y/n about random things to keep her mind off of the graduation.
She parked in the student section and we both got out of the car and were met with the awful heat. It was 91° outside (≈32°C) and I know y/n was cursing herself for wearing a black suit. She was going to literally get baked alive waiting for her name to be called even though it was in an auditorium. But the after party celebration we are going to have is at Lisa's house, so we will have a pool to cool off in.
I saw Lisa walking with Jennie who was carrying her girlfriend's cap and gown. I shouted for Lisa and she whipped her head around, looking to see who called out her name. Her eyes found me and she smiled brightly as she ran over to me and wrapped me up in a big hug.
"I'm graduating today! Can you believe it?! I'm so glad y/n told me to also finish college up online because we both get to graduate early." Lisa said to me. I saw Jennie hug her best friend and they started walking with each other and talking, so Lisa and I followed our girlfriends and soon we're in the air conditioned auditorium.
Y/n came over to me and gave me a kiss on the cheek before leaving with Lisa to go down to the auditorium floor where the students are. Jennie and I found y/n's family and Lisa's family rather easily because they both had big ass signs. I smiled to myself as I knew Lisa and y/n would pretend they don't know them. Ten, Winter, Mia, and Bam were all there as well. They would all be graduating next year, but I'm happy they are here for their friends that helped make college life interesting.
I sat down next to Winter and we got into conversation about climate change because that's what she's studying; environmental science to be more precise. Soon, the head of the school came out on stage and told everyone to take their seats. Someone then sat down next to me in the open seat to my right. I glanced over and saw it was y/n's boss IU.
"Hey Miss Lee, I'm surprised to see you here." I told her. She smiled over at me,
"Roseanne, I told you just to call me IU. And y/n wouldn't stop mentioning her graduation to me, so I decided to come and see her graduate. She's been super excited to be promoted to executive engineer too since she'll be done with school." She said with a laugh. I smiled at how close y/n and her boss are.
