Ever since the donut fiasco, you've felt the icy stares of the group nonstop. Less and less the girls include you, let alone speak to you. You find out through social media where they go with notifications flooding your phone of their ventures. Confused, you'd always open said notifications to find them somewhere without you even though you are tagged in the photo. Seeing Tomoko's continued dedication in tagging you always brought a sickening wave of panic to your system. And the action had you wondering if it was done out of spite, but you try not to think about it.

However, today you find yourself in another predicament. Group projects have been doled out, and you become the odd man out. Dread fills your system, and you can't help but realize how much they don't want you. They chose some random guy to fill out the spot in their group, a guy that Hikari is somewhat interested in.

You glance around, wondering who else to join, but you feel like a fish out of water. There had always been some savior friend that took you into their group. Yet today there is none, and it's up to you to find a group.

The thought of Akari comes to mind and you turn to face her. She has her hand outstretched towards you, most definitely in pursuit of the same thing. It takes a moment for the two of you to register what the other is doing, and you let out a giggle.

"I guess we think alike!" you laugh as you grab your laptop.

"Yeah! Do you need help getting your stuff?" she asks as she stands. You shake your head but she insists and rushes over to help grab the power cable of your laptop.

"Thanks," you say sheepishly. She aids you in moving over your stuff into her row, where there is an empty spot beside her.

"You shouldn't thank me... We are the only ones in the group," she admits.

You shake your head. "Nah, the best part is that we aren't alone, and that's something I'm thankful for."

The genuine statement touches the girl, and she grins. "True! I guess I got lucky that you were available."

You appreciate the sentiment and it brings a newfound perspective on the situation. One door closes and another opens.

You hang your bag at the entrance and let out a sigh. Having spent the week enduring the work of six people split into two, you haven't had much sleep. You worked through your lunch and dinner, but the comfort of having a friend beside you aids the monstrous amount of labor.

Your bed catches your fatigued body and envelopes it in comfort. The scent of fresh laundry calms the rest of your nerves and you fall into a short nap...

Well, you thought it was a short nap. The sound of your phone chirping brings you back to life, but you feel a horrible distortion in your reality. The room spins but it's the darkness that brings on a wave of confusion. Once your eyes settle down, you pick up the phone.

"Hello?" you groggily answer.

"Where are you?" Shuzo asks. The faint sound of blasting music echoes in his background, but he appears somewhat removed from the noise.

"In the apartment?"

He lets out a sigh of relief. "Fuck, I thought something had happened on your way here."

"Here?" You pause to glance at the time on your phone. 10:36 PM. Yeah, you've definitely been out a while.

"The basketball club is having another party, this time at some club. I told Marie about it in the morning... she was supposed to tell you and she was going to bring your friends too." His explanation only brings more confusion, but you let out a bitter laugh at the mention of those girls being called your friends.
