A/N: I don't know if it's a trigger warning or not but there is a bit of racism in this chapter. One that is rightfully put down. Also, I apologize for the delay in updating. I'm starting to return to the office and the overwhelming workload isn't helping. My main issue is the editing of these chapters as most things have already been written, but I never have time to read through and correct things.

But here we are. Hope you enjoy!

With your career settling down into a more manageable state, you focused your attention onto your finals. Unfortunately, your weekend was lambasted with the conference and the aftermath of it all. Your school's reputation went up in flames, becoming the center of everyone's ire. From what you had heard, students are leaving by the dozens and even the female faculty refuse to be employed by such an institution.

Yet none of that matters in the wake of your finals week. After many restless nights, it's the day of the project presentation. All your classmates wait outside the room, dressed in their business attire for the presentation. Abe and Nijimura stand by your side as they too read over their flash cards one last time. You glance over your shoulder to see Akari's dull stare at her partners as they review without her participation.

You send Akari a smile, but the moment she smiles back, Hikari notices and harshly whispers her chastise. "Why are you even smirking? You're going to get a 0 since you didn't bother helping us. I already informed the professor."

Akari slides her gaze over to the brunette and rolls her eyes. Words are meaningless in this situation, that much you two know.

Nijimura listens to the conversation—for once, finally, as he usually stays away from anything related to Marie. He turns to face the two girls with a pointed glare. "I doubt Akari refused to help."

"She did. I even have it on record that she is no longer going to be part of our group and will receive a 0."

You hide your giggle and turn back around. So does Akari. Little do those two know that Akari had already prepared her own project (with some help from you) and will present it by herself today right after them. The plan is downright diabolical that you cannot wait to see it unfold.

Nijimura spots your inclination to remain silent and lowers his head to speak softly against your ear. "What exactly is going on?"

You cover your ear and send him a glare. "You're too close, Shuzo. Besides, you'll see soon."

He leans back unimpressed. Not much can be pried from your lips so he continues on with his preparations.

A few minutes later, the professor opens the door and calls for one group to volunteer first. Almost everyone raises their arm, hoping to finish first and speed off to their next final. Yet she chooses randomly and brings in a group that is stationed beside you.

One by one, each group is taken into the classroom. You are one of the last to present, but you notice the professor deliberately ignoring Hikari, Marie, and Akari. When you finish, your group waltzes out of the classroom and lets out a sigh of relief.

"Finallyyy!" Abe groans out, "I can't wait to get out of this suit!"

You chuckle and agree with him. "Yep, time to go back into sweats and relax. I already finished all my finals too."
