A/N: I actually have so many chapters written ahead of schedule so I can update again to make up for not updating last week. More drama, more resolutions. I cannot wait to tie this story together with a big bow on top. Please enjoy!

"The following groups will be for the rest of the semester. Work should be divided evenly, and should I hear of any slacking, you will flunk the class." The professor's words bring dread into your system. Anxiety always attacks your senses at the thought of group projects, but you feel as if you have every reason to be nervous.

Most of the time, you were allowed to choose your groups. Yet today you wait with bated breath on your professor's selection. She begins calling out the names, going quickly through her list. Each group possesses three individuals, randomly selected.

"Oshiro Akari. Yamanaka Hikari. Ito Marie, that'll make up the next group!"

You cannot stifle the frown that appears on your lips. As much as you want to be with Akari, she must suffer with two people that do not like her. Particular situations arise in your head: exclusion, lying, and bullying. All are valid concerns, but with no room to voice them, you keep your concern to yourself.

The teacher cares little of the havoc she's created and continues. "Next is Abe Koichi. [Full Name]. Nijimura Shuzo."

Your heart hammers with disbelief and you stare at your group. While Abe gives you a thumbs up, Nijimura stares at you with apprehension. It makes you wonder, just how unlucky did the day have to be?

Once the groups have been doled out, people begin to disperse. Fortunately, you do not need to move as your two partners sit beside you. Your tentative gaze meets Nijimura's and you see his mixed sentiments. As much as he resists any involvement with you, he must adhere to the professor's whims.

While the groups discuss responsibilities and topics to research, you vaguely pay attention to the ongoing discussion in Akari's group. Every time she has an opinion, Hikari speaks over her and Marie just goes along with it. She does not dare to halt Hikari's vitriol even when she is the only one that can.

Anger wells up at every transgression against your friend, but you cannot intervene, not when you must participate in your own group discussion. At the sound of the chair beside you sliding, you return your attention onto Abe, who appears to be leaving.

"Bathroom," he mutters before shuffling away.

Your awkward expression meets Nijimura, but you quickly glance down at the paper which describes everyone's duties. Your mind races for where they left off in their talks. Fortunately, Nijimura resumes the discussion.

"We're trying to set up a schedule that works around the basketball itinerary."

You nod your head as you pull out your phone. "I have the tentative dates of all activities... We just had a meeting on it yesterday."

As you scroll through your phone, your other hand unconsciously travels to your bag to bring out some snacks. The class digs into your lunch time, and your stomach always gets angry when you don't snack on schedule.

You open the wrapper quietly yet halt at Nijimura's sudden interest on you, particularly your hands. Without any hesitance, you offer him some and watch as he struggles with an answer. But it's his favorite snack, forcing him to acquiesce and grab from the bag.

"You look a lot better," he comments between bites.

You didn't expect him to speak to you as a friend again, and you sit there stunned. You take a moment to chew before responding. "Thanks... A lot of therapy, I suppose."
