Gypsy's POV
I got a knock at my door. "Zeffy!" I jumped on her. "I missed you too babe" Zephyr laughed. "So how did your dads take it?" I asked. "Arc was ok, but Gabe said it was your fault" she said. "What! But I told you to study" I protested. "I know but he still blames you" she said. I sighed. "Well, look on the bright side. Now you get to be in the same grade as me" I said. She smiled. "You don't go to my school dummy" she said. I giggled. "I do this year" I said. "Really?! But I thought you went to private school" she said. "I did, but my mom said that she didn't like dropping me off and since this school was closer, I can just fly there" I said, flapping my wings. "Awesome!" She said. I carried her to my room and threw her on my bed. She giggled and I sat down next to her. "My dads gonna have a heart attack." She said. I shrugged. "Yeah. You're gonna have to do a hard restart on him." I smirked. She smiled and rolled her eyes. "Stop with the computer jokes. They're not funny." She said. "Are you sure? Because I think they're fabulous." I said. "Of course you do." She shook her head. "You'll never win over my dad if you keep at it though." She warned. "Yeah like I'm ever gonna win over your dad. I swear he just hates my entire bloodline." I said. "It wouldn't surprise me." She said. "Why does he hate me anyway?" I asked. She shrugged. "Like I know? He says you're a bad influence, but it seems like crap to me." She said. "I wish there was a way I could prove myself to him." I said. "Don't waste your time. As far as he's concerned, you're not worth anything." She said.

Ari came to a screeching stop with his skates and then immediately fell onto his face. I laughed. "Nice try." I said. "Oh shut up. You don't wear skates. You wouldn't know how hard it is." He growled. "That's because I prefer my board." I said. He rolled his eyes and then raised an eyebrow at something behind me. I turned around to see someone had pulled over by the skate park. When the guy got of the car, my eyes widened. "I'll be right back." I told Ari.

I flew over to the car and landed beside it. "Hello Mr. Matrix. Car troubles?" I asked. Gabe looked over at me confused. "Gypsy... how nice to see you." he rolled his eyes. My eye twitched but I shrugged it off. "I didn't take you for a gas car person. I figured you'd have an electric car." I said. "I have an electric motorcycle. This is Arc's car." He said. "What's wrong with it?" I asked. "Many things. I don't know why he keeps this piece of junk." He said. "So... what's the problem?" I asked. "All the lights on the dash came on at once." He said. "Oh. You probably just have a loose gas cap. Happens to my mom all the time. These smart cars are really sensitive" I said. He was hesitant but checked the gas cap and sure enough, it was loose. He tightened it and then looked back at me. "You're pretty smart. Must have taken it from Zephyr. Maybe that's why she failed." He snapped. "Oh come on! I just helped you! It wasn't my fault! I love your daughter. Why would I sabotage her?" I yelled. "Watch your tone." He grumbled. "Or what? You gonna hack into my bank account? Maybe you'll block all my socials. Maybe you'll cyberbully me! I don't give a crap! I'm gonna see your daughter whether you like it or not!" I snapped. He just stared at me unamused. "I'm sure you will." He said. He got in his car and drove off. Ari walked up behind me. "You're screwed." He said. I frowned.

Zephyr's POV
Zane and Lila are cuddling on the couch. "Ugh. Could you two get a room?" I asked. "You're just mad that dad won't let you do this with Gypsy." Zane smirked. Lila punched him in the arm. "Ow!" He yelped. "Go to your room mister!" She ordered. He pouted and walked away. "Sorry Zephyr." Lila turned to me. "Thanks Lila." I said. "No problem. By the way, if you ever need to chat about your situation with your dad and Gypsy, I'm here for you." She smiled. I smiled back. "Thank you. That means a lot." I said. She nodded and walked over to Zane's room.

Dad came into the living room. "You are no longer allowed to have Gypsy over here." He snapped. "What?!" I exclaimed. "Arcs car broke down by the skate park, and she started going off on me. Saying she was gonna see you no matter what I said. And! She was making some very offensive computer references." Gabe growled. "Dad, can we just talk about this?" I asked. "There's nothing left to talk about Zephyr. My mind has been made up!" He exclaimed. He stormed out and I grabbed my phone. "Gypsy, what did you do?" I asked as I dialed her number.

"Hello?" She asked. "What the hell is wrong with you?" I snapped. "Um... what?" She asked. "You yelled at my dad?" I asked. "Oh... I should have known he'd take it out on you. I'm sorry babe." She said. "What the hell happened?" I asked. "His car had a loose gas cap. He didn't know what the problem was so I told him and I was right. I was trying to be helpful, but then instead of saying a simple thank you, he started accusing me of failing you. So yeah, I may have snapped a little bit. I'm sorry! I have a short temper!" She said. "I know! But now he's restricted me from inviting you over ever again." I growled. "Oh crap. I'm really sorry babe. I didn't mean to get you in more trouble." She said sadly. I sighed. "It's fine. I'll handle it... or at least, I'll try." I hung up.

I groaned to myself and got up to find my dad. "Zephyr!" Zike ran up to me. "What do you want? I'm in no mood to socialize." I snapped. "Look who's here!" He cheered. Beside him stood a tall brunette girl. She had blue eyes, pointy ears, and a tail. Her fur wasn't exactly from one animal though. She looked like she was half-dog and half-fox. "Who is that?" I asked. Zike huffed. "This is Harley. My girlfriend." He said. "Oh. The one from Canada?" I asked. "Yes. She made the trip down." He smiled. "No really? I thought she was a hologram." I said sarcastically. Harley laughed. "Nice to meet you Zephyr." She said. "You too. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go yell at my father." I smiled politely. "Oh about the Gypsy thing?" Zike asked. My head snapped over to him. "You knew about that?!" I yelled. "Yeah we all know about it." He said. "God dammit! Dad!" I ran out.

"I'm not talking about this anymore Zephyr. My word is final." Gabe said. "Oh shut up! I'm done listening to your stupid word! You let Zikes girlfriend from a whole other fucking country come here. You let Zane and Lila show their PDA all over the fucking house! Why can't I have Gypsy over? Please give me a real fucking reason. Not that 'she's a bad influence' crap. A real reason. Tell me why you hate her so damn much!" I yelled. He stared at me for a moment and then sighed. "I'm sorry Zephyr. I know I've been hard on her. I just... in all honesty, it's not even her." He said. "What?" I asked. "I don't care about her. It's her mother. I'm mad because I hate the way that Techna abuses technology." He admitted. "So you don't want me to be around her... because you're afraid that I'll start abusing technology too?" I asked. He shrugged. "I guess. Part of it is also just me being protective." He said. "Dad, I don't need to be protected. I'll be fine. I would never do anything like that." I said. He sighed. "I know. I just worry about you." He said. "I know that. But that doesn't mean you can go this far!" I exclaimed. He looked down. "Fine. I'll lay off her." He groaned. "Thank you. And you just so you know, Gypsy doesn't share her mothers love for tech. Not unless it's me." I said. He gagged. "I didn't need to know that." He said. I laughed. "So can I invite her over?" I asked. He nodded. "Yes. You can." He said. "Thank you dad... that argument was solved very quickly." I said, a little confused. He nodded. "That's because I'm still a computer, Zephyr. I easily resolve conflict... unless the internet is slow." He said. I laughed. "So you can make the jokes and Gypsy cant?" I asked. He nodded. "Exactly." He agreed.
