Graduation

Zane's POV
I hate that I'm gonna graduate without my family and my girlfriend. Next year Zephyr, Zike and Lila will be seniors and Ill be at college. "Are you guys ok?" I asked. "No" Zephyr said. "I'm good" Zike shrugged. "I know this isn't the best thing Zephyr, but now you'll be in school with Gypsy" I said, trying to be optimistic. "Yeah, great" Zephyr said sarcastically. "Are you coming to the graduation ceremony?" I asked. "Yeah, we wouldn't miss it" she said and Zike nodded. I feel bad for them but there's nothing I can do about it.

Santana's POV
"I know you don't want us to go but I'm not moving out anytime soon and Kara hasn't found a place yet so you still have a little time left with us" I said. Amber still looks sad. "What can we do to make you feel better?" Kara asked. Amber shrugged. "What if we did something bad... something that our moms would never forgive?" Kara asked. "Why would we do that?" Amber asked. "Why not? Come on!" Kara grabbed her and we ran out.

"Dude mom is gonna kill us" Amber said. "Eh its fine" I shrugged. We got a dog. Aurelia loves dogs but Heather refuses to get one because Aurelia is allergic, even though she's been around dogs before and was perfectly fine. I hope that mom doesn't kill me and Kara for doing this. We did it so Amber would feel better. "Ok grab Coopers leash so we can take him inside" I said. Kara got his collar and leash. "Ok Ill install the dog door when mom is done yelling at us" I said. "Thank you for this" Amber said. "Its no big deal" Kara shrugged.

"What do you think?" Lizz asked. "I think that these hats look stupid" I said. We're trying on our cap and gowns. "Well maybe that's why we get to throw them off" Kara said. "I appreciate you girls helping me, but I look like an idiot" Zane said. "Zane, that's because you got a medium when we all know you're a large" I said. "What do you want me to do about that?" Zane asked. "You could eat a salad for once." Kara said. We laughed and Zane glared at her. I waved my hand and his gown got bigger. "Really? Did you really just make my gown a large?" Zane asked. "Yes now stop complaining" I said. Cooper ran into the room and Amber stumbled after him. "Stop running you piece of shit!" She yelled. We laughed. "You guys look great" she said. "Thanks" Kara said. Cooper ran out. "That dog is gonna kill me" she jogged back out.

Ambers POV
Watching them graduate was probably the most depressing thing I've ever seen. "Amber are you ok?" Heather asked. I shrugged. "I don't know. I didn't think I would feel this way. I want to be happy for them, but instead all I can feel is... sad" I admitted. She just stared at me for a moment. "You know, it's ok to be sad. Sometimes, life throws you around in a million different directions. It can be hard to keep up with it all. I know that your family situation hasn't always been great. I definitely understand that pain. My parents being murdered and all. But you'll notice that I don't focus on it. I don't feed my insecurities. I try to the make the best out of the life I was given. I try to have fun in every situation, in hopes that maybe it can spread to the people around me. We all have the same insecurities Amber. Even adults do. There's really no escaping it. You just have to power through. Trust me, I'm not exactly happy watching them graduate either. But I'm happy for them, and that's enough." She told me. "Thank you mom, but how are you supposed to deal with the pain?" I asked. She shrugged. "It's just apart of growing up Amber. You're gonna be in pain a lot, and that's ok. Like I said, it's ok to be sad. God knows you're not the only one." She smiled. I smiled back. Aurelia looked over at Heather. "Did you just- never mind." She looked away. Heather smiled at her.
