Siblings prt.2

Ella's POV
"Isn't this a little immature?" Lila laughed. "Oh its down right childish" I said. I drove to Mia's friends house and we set a prank up for them. Mia's friends walked into the backyard and she followed behind. We were hiding on the roof. We had a bucket of glitter and as soon as she walked out, we threw it down on her head and ran. We drove away quickly, laughing our asses off. "She's gonna kill us" Lila said. "Its worth it!" I said. We got a call from Mia. "Shh" Lila shushed me before picking it up. "Hello?" Lila said. "WHAT THE FUCK!" Mia yelled. "What?" Lila asked. "Don't act dumb. I saw you two on the roof!" Mia said. We started laughing again. "Stop laughing!" she yelled. "No way" I said. "Ugh! I'm gonna kill you both later" she snarled. "Ok have fun with that" I said. 

She hung up and we kept laughing. After awhile we stopped. "So whos jacket is this?" she asked. I looked down at the orange jacket. "Oranges" I said. "I thought it was purples! No shit sherlock its orange but who is orange!?" She asked. I giggled. "Its Retros" I said. "You're dating retro?" She asked. "I'm not the only one who doesn't know much about their sister am I?" I asked. "Shut up. Its not like we live together" Lila said. "That's cause you guys said you didn't wanna be arrows" I said. "We said that because we saw what it did to you" she said. We went silent. The arrows made me drift away from them, and as a result, they refused to join. It all makes sense now. "I'm sorry" I said. "You're fine Ella" she said. "Would you consider joining now?" I asked. Its been years since they said no. "Yeah because I know how to shoot a bow and arrow" she said sarcastically. "I can teach you, and I can even show you sword wielding if you want" I said. Since my mom has a sword, I learned how to use one. I have one but I never use it. "Um... sure" she said. "Really?" I asked happily. "Yeah sure, but I'm not living at arrows headquarters" she said. "Deal. Now how do I get to Mia and josh?" I asked. "Mia's gonna be hard, but josh should warm up pretty easily. Just play a video game with him or something" she said. 

Lila and Mia are in their rooms. Josh is getting a ride from Adams mom. I'm in the live room playing what Lila said was his favorite game. I have no idea what I'm doing in this game, but I'm trying. Josh came in and stopped when he saw me. "You play?" He asked. "As of right now, yes." I said. He looked at me and then the tv. "Don't just stand there. Grab a controller." I said. He was hesitant but took the other controller and walked over to sit on the couch. We played together until I eventually died. He laughed. "You suck." He said. "Yeah I know." I sighed. He glanced over a me. "I know what you're doing." He said. I raised an eyebrow. "I'll be an arrow ok? You can stop trying to bribe me." He said. "That's not what I was doing." I said. He raised an eyebrow. "I just want you to be my brother." I said. He laughed. "Sure. As long as you promise never to play this game again." He said. I put my hands up and dropped the controller. "Gladly." I said.

"Hey Mia" I said. "Go away" she said. "Ok" I walked away. I can tell she's staring at me. "Did you just listen to me?" She asked. I stopped and turned to her. "Yes" I said. "What the hell?" she whispered. I sat down at the far end of the couch, away from her. She still looks confused. I got a text from Retro saying that they would be in Tampa for a few more days. I frowned. "What's wrong?" Mia asked. "Oh my um, friends are staying in Tampa for a few more days" I said. "You really don't wanna be with us do you?" She said. "No that's not it. Its just that... there's one person that I really need to be here and she's not" I said. "Felt that" she stared straight at me. "What did I miss?" I asked. She handed me her phone and showed me a flyer. My eyes widened. I totally forgot she was in a band. "Oh fuck" I said. She took back her phone. I missed her opening night. She begged me to come and I didn't. I can see why she hates me. Her music means a lot to her. "Wow I really suck" I said. "Yeah ya think?" she asked. There was a short silence. "Who is it?" she asked. "What?" I asked. She pointed at my phone. "Oh its Retro" I said. She let out a laugh. "What?" I asked. "I knew it. When I saw you guys as kids, I knew you would be together" she said. I blushed and played with the strand on my jacket. "I would be hurt too of Dany wasn't here" she said. "She seems nice, Dany I mean" I said. "She is" Mia said. We just sat there watching TV and Lila came out to join us. Josh was asleep. Lila sat in between us. "Did I miss something or are you two just not speaking?" Lila asked. Mia looked at me and then at her. "Yes you missed something." she said. "Ok then" Lila said. I got another text from Retro saying love you and goodnight. I started to get teary eyed. I really miss her. Lila nudged Mia with her foot and gestured to me. Mia looked over and saw me all sad. She rolled her eyes and moved next to me. She pulled me into her and rubbed my back. I'm taller than all my siblings but I'm smaller than Mia and Lila so I fit in her arms. Mia sighed. "If you can try harder to be there than I'll try harder to be nice" she whispered. I looked up at her. "Thank you Mia" I hugged her. "I wont fuck it up this time" I said. "You better not. And before you ask yes ill be an arrow. Just let go of me" she groaned. I backed away and smiled. 

I'm teaching all my siblings bow and arrow, and I'm teaching Lila sword wielding. They aren't officially arrows yet but josh is brown, Lila is white, and Mia is teal. Mia has a gig that I said Id go to tonight. I just hope I make it because if I lose her again, Ill never get her back. The arrows are finally back. When Retro walked in, I jumped on her. I was so happy she was back. After they got back, we all went skating together. 

I looked at my watch. "Fuck!" I said. I forgot about the gig again. "Hey Ella. Where are you going?" Sky asked. "I gotta go. I told my sister Id be there for her" I said. When I walked out of the building, I was zapped into my arrows costume. So you can get there faster. Sky sent me a head message. Sometimes I love having super friends. I grabbed my grappling hook and swung off into the night.

I made it. Her gig is in a warehouse. I got there late. I didn't want anyone to see me there as the cyan arrow, so I'm sitting on one of the beams on the ceiling. I can see Lila's there. Josh isn't because this isn't the type of thing for an eighth grader to watch. Mia is the guitarist, one of her friends is singing, there's a drummer, and someone on a keyboard. The music became dull and I noticed it was because of Mia's disappointment as she looked at the crowd. I took out my bow and shot an arrow down, right in front of her foot. She was stunned at first but then her eyes widened and she smiled. Almost instantly she started playing better and I laughed. 

There was a knock at the door and Retro got it. She let the person in and I looked over. "Mia?!" I asked shocked. "You left this." She threw me my arrow and I caught it. I smiled. "I told you I'd be there." I said. She smiled. "Thanks for keeping your word." She said. I nodded and she left.
