Cleo's POV
"Thanks for your homework, Santana. I was certain I would fail!" I laughed. "No problem." She shrugged. We walked beside each other in the courtyard, looking for Blaire. "She's still not here?" I asked. "Maybe the bus ran late." Santana shrugged. "Hey Satan!" We heard. We turned around to see a guy walking up to us. "Just got paid! How much?" He smirked at Santana. She rolled her eyes. "Shop's closed. Get lost." She looked away. "You don't expect me to believe that! You're the number one call for every guy here." He chuckled. "And I suggest that you lose my number, Hunter. I'm done." Santana spat. "Ha! Done? You think it's gonna be that easy? We'll break down doors just to get to you Santana. The money you get is just charity at this point. You're a slut and you're always gonna be a slut." He laughed. I growled under my breath and Santana waved me off. "You want charity? Be thankful that I don't kill you here and now." She spat. "With what? Your attack dog here?" Hunter pointed at me. My ears shot back in anger and Santana sighed. "That's it!" Her fist started glowing blue and she blasted him back away from us. My jaw dropped. I had never seen her use her magic like that before. Others around us were shocked, and Hunter ran off scared. "Ms. Lascano. My office, now." One of the deans pulled Santana away.

Once she was gone, I walked over to my other friend. "Hi Marlow!" I waved. She smiled over at me. "Cleo! Hey!" She greeted me. "Is that your girlfriend?" Someone asked. The girls she was hanging out with seemed familiar, but I didn't know their names. Except for one. "Hi Lemmy." I greeted her. She waved back at me, silent as always. "You know her too?! What life are you keeping from us?!" One of them shrieked. Marlow sighed and turned to me. "This is Cal and Alex. Lemmy's sisters, and that's Kai. Cal's girlfriend." She introduced them. "Nice to meet you all, and Marlow's not my type." I said. Cal rolled her eyes. "How'd you meet my sister?" She asked. "Marlow talks about her a lot." I shrugged. Cal glared over at Marlow and I panicked. "She's very fond of her." I added. The glare softened and Marlow locked eyes with me. "Don't try. She hates my every move." She told me, telepathically. "It's nice to meet you, Cleo. I've heard about you from Santana." Alex held out her hand and I shook it. "You know Santana?" I asked. "A little, yes." Alex nodded. "How come I've never seen you here before?" I asked. "We live in Hell with that one." Alex pointed at Kai. "You've known me for sixteen years." Kai groaned. "Yeah. So be glad that I acknowledge you." Alex snapped. I giggled and wagged my tail. "You're funny, and that's cool! Is everything really on fire?" I asked. "Ha! No, but the people there are trash fires if that counts." Alex replied. We both laughed. "Can you stop flirting with the mortals?!" Cal snapped. My ears flopped down. "What?" I asked, stunned. "I'm being nice, Cal. You should try it." Alex smirked. Cal smacked her and it left Alex speechless. "Is that nice enough?" Cal asked. "She slapped me..." Alex was stunned. Luckily, the bell rang just then. "Oh thank Hades. Let's go to class!" Marlow announced.

Flashback
"Why are we doing this? We could be arrested!" I snapped. "Are you going to help me or not?!" Marlow snapped. I sighed heavily. "Why are we spray painting your dad's store anyway? I know he sucks, but this is a little much." I groaned. "Shut up! You're gonna draw attention to us." She whisper-yelled. "We're standing in front of a well-lit white building. The night sky isn't enough, dude." I huffed. "Exactly. It's a boring wall. It could use a mural." Marlow smirked. Just then, someone tapped my shoulder and I jumped. "Ah! Shit-" I fell over and Marlow spun around. A girl around our age stood there, looking confused. "Who the fuck are you?" I asked. Marlow's eyes started glowing as she spoke to her telepathically. "I really hate when you do that. I feel left out." I groaned as I stood back up. Marlow looked back over at me. "The cops are coming. We gotta go." She grabbed my arm and dragged me away, but the girl stopped us. "What?!" Marlow was confused. The girl waved her hand, and graffiti appeared on the wall. We were stunned and she smiled at us. Then she held out her hand to Marlow. We were both confused, but Marlow shook it. "Nice to meet you too, Lemmy." She smiled. "Is she gonna put us in jail?" I asked, nervously. "No. She's here to save us. Come on." Marlow took off and we followed her.

We went back to Marlow's mansion. "Isn't there like... camera's or something? And why is she still here?" I asked. "Can't you have faith in anyone? I swear I'm your only friend." Marlow laughed. "You are, because people are awful and cannot be trusted!" I exclaimed. "Not all people, and you just pulled off a heist with me." Marlow crossed her arms. "Yeah, but that's different. Your dad is a speciest, racist, homophobic prick that deserves it." I said. "Exactly! But Lemmy just saved us. Surely you can trust her for that." Marlow smiled. I raised an eyebrow at Lemmy. She just blinked at me. "She hasn't said a word." I noted. "Not to you." Marlow rolled her eyes. "Not all of us are psychic, dude." I spat. "She's a telepath. Not psychic." Lemmy said. Her voice made me jump again. "Jesus! Don't do that!" I groaned. Marlow smiled. "Thank you so much Lemmy. How did you know we were there?" She asked. Lemmy opened her mouth, but her jaw shuddered, like she was struggling to speak. "Take your time." Marlow smiled. Lemmy smiled back, politely. "I... have a special ability... to see the present. It gets... boring, at times. So, I decided to be a part of it, and I found you." Lemmy explained. "See the present? That's not a real super power. You have to be kidding." I huffed. "I am a goddess. One of the three Fates. It is my immortal ability." Lemmy explained. I just stared at her for a moment. "What... dude, you can't believe this." I looked at Marlow. She looked over at Lemmy. They just stared at each other for a moment. "True or not, she saved us. She's my friend." Marlow smiled. Lemmy smiled back at her. "You've got to be kidding me." I rolled my eyes. Lemmy looked at me and opened her mouth, but closed it. She couldn't do it. So she looked at Marlow, and telepathically told her. "Uh... she said that when your mom's friend brings her daughter to work, you should talk to her. She says you have a lot in common." Marlow explained. "Apollo's daughter?" I asked. Marlow nodded. "Um... ok." I shrugged. "No harm in trying. You could use another friend." Marlow laughed.

End of Flashback
As I was walking home, Alex teleported beside me. "Hey!" She smiled. "Oh! Hi." I greeted her. "Thank you, for trusting Lemmy all those years ago." She said. "You know about that?" I asked. "I see the past, Cleo." She explained. "Right. The goddess thing." I rolled my eyes. "Lemmy wasn't lying. Let me show you." Alex offered. "Show me what?" I asked. "Do you know how your mom met Apollo?" She asked. "Yeah, they were on the moon together." I nodded. "Yes, and you know about her super hero life, don't you?" She asked. "Yeah, but I'm not supposed to say anything about it." I replied. "Yes I know. But I've seen you say multiple times that you wish you could join your friends. Do you really want that? To be a hero?" She asked. I raised an eyebrow. "Um... well, I'd love to help them, but I don't have any super powers." I said. "You don't need magic to be a super hero, especially when your mother has the best weapon of your time sitting around in a closet." She replied. "What?" I asked. "Don't believe me? Check your mom's closet when you get home. Let me know if you find a long metal stick. That thing alone holds more power than you could ever ask for. Take it, and become the hero I know you can be." Alex said. "Why? Why do you want me to be a hero?" I asked. "Because Cal sees the future, and the heroes are gonna need all the help they can get. That includes you." She explained. "Right... if you say so." I walked away.

I wasn't gonna do it, but the more I thought about it, the more it ate at me. My sister would be home soon, so I was running out of time. Finally, I swallowed my pride and went into my mom's room. I opened the closet and started digging through clothes and boxes of stuff. Then I saw it. A long shiny stick in the corner of the closet. I grabbed it and pulled it out. It came up to my chest, and had several buttons on it. I looked over it for a minute, and accidentally hit one of the buttons. The end of the stick sparked like a taser and buzzed as the electricity radiated at the tip. My jaw dropped and I clicked the button again. It turned off and I looked down at it shocked. "Holy shit. She was right." I realized. Alex wasn't here with me, but somehow I could feel her watching me, or I guess it was Lemmy. Someone was watching me, and I could just feel what they were saying. "Believe in the gods now?" They asked. I clutched my hands around the stick and brought it to my room. Then I called Blaire. "Hey Cleo! What's up?" She asked. "I want to join you." I replied.
