Bodyguard (part 6)

Forths P.O.V.

The next day I got up quite late. I groaned sitting down on my bed. Beam tired me out yesterday but I guess that one was my fault. I looked for my phone to see it was already twelve. I got out of bed and got ready for the day. I tried calling Beam but he didn't answer so I decided to go to his apartment. It seemed pointless since maybe he's still sleeping and I did lock the door yesterday before leaving. But we will see. As I made my way to his apartment I called him a few more times with no answer. I tried knocking but of course no response so I tried my luck and the door was open. That's weird though I made sure to lock it. I walked inside to find Beam still sleeping but with different clothes. Maybe he got up to take a bath.

"What are you doing here?" He said groggily. I ignored his question.

"Did you take something for the hangover?" I asked instead.

"Yeah." He replied.

"Did you have breakfast?" I asked.

"No." He mumbled almost back to dreamland again. I decided to let him be and prepare some breakfast. I haven't eaten either so it works out. Thankfully he has stuff in his fridge and I was able to prepare some omelets for breakfast. When it was done I walked over to wake him up.

"Wake up." I said shaking him and he looked surprised.

"I thought you left." He mumbled sitting down slowly. He seemed to be thinking about it for a second before standing up and walking to the table to eat. "This is good." He said quickly digging in and I did the same.

"Are you going out today?" I asked and he shook his head.

"No, I'm way too tired. I just took a bath and went back to bed when I woke up this morning." He said and I got confused.

"So you haven't gone out today? Anywhere?" I asked and he looked at me confused for a second.

"No, why?" He asked and I thought about it.

"Did you unlock the door because you knew I was coming?" I asked and noticed his cheeks getting red.

"What? No! It was unlocked!" He said and I shook my head laughing.

"I locked it yesterday." I said and he got up mad.

"Whatever I only did it so you wouldn't wake me up." He said walking back to bed. "You can leave I'm just going to sleep all day and maybe study at night if I feel better." He said getting comfortable.

"Are you sure?" I asked and he nodded.

"Yeah I am." He said and I nodded.

"We'll call me if you are going somewhere then. I guess I will leave for now." I said.

"Ok lock the door on you way out." He said and I did leaving his apartment. I didn't want to ask him about yesterday when I found him sleeping alone because he will probably get mad.

Things started to get weird after that though. Beam started acting weird after that day. I have lunch with him every day and lately he seems pretty happy about it. Which kind of gets my hopes up but I try to brush it off. Also we have gone to the bar only twice in a week and a half and both times I found him sleeping in his room and I have to take carry him out. Today is Friday again and I'm having lunch with Beam but we are at his dorm since he didn't have class today. I'm used to joining him so I bought food and went to his apartment. I now have a key because it's dangerous to leave the door open for me.

"So what's the plan for tonight?" I asked. We've been hanging out more lately. Well obviously I have to follow him everywhere but that's beside the point.
