Fall for me instead (Part 3)

Beam's P.O.V.

After breakfast Mint went with the other girls to the pool. She asked a few more times if I wanted to go with her but I refused. In the end Pufai and Pern Pleng stood beside her and asked her to go with them. She agreed and they all glared at me before walking away. Forth laughed at that and I just sighed putting my hands on my face feeling stressed. What did I got myself in to? After a while I stood up walking away. I wanted to get as far away as possible from the pool. Finally found a quiet spot on a hammock on the beach in the water. It was a great spot it felt very romantic. After today I probably won't have anyone to come here with. Ah shit seems like I choose the wrong girl to sleep with. I should have made things clear. I don't know for how long I laid there alone but I was really starting to feel sleepy.

"Two days in and you have dug yourself a hole." Said Forth letting out a laugh. I looked at him and he was standing a few feet away. Hands in the pocket of his shorts and a big smile on his face.

"You're annoying." I said looking away.

"And you're an asshole according to the girls." He said laughing again.

"If you came here to mock me the leave I'm not in the mood." I said annoyed. I will just ignore him and when he leaves I will take my nap.

"I was just wondering around and saw you lying here so I came." He said and I opened my eyes since his voice sounded closer. To my surprise he was grabbing the hammock.

"What are you doing." I said confused but then he got in beside me.

"This is weird." I said way too aware of the closeness we had and how our legs were touching.

"Is only weird if you make it weird." He said laying back on the hammock.

"Aren't you busy trying to find the love of your life here? Oh wait she's flirting with Cho instead." I said.

"Careful there one might think you are jealous." Said Forth and I sat down.

"I will throw you out and drown you right here if you don't stop saying stupid shit." I said getting mad.

"Don't take your bad mood out on me you messed up on your own." Said Forth.

"Who comes here looking for love?!?" I said exasperated and Forth raised an eyebrow. "Ugh Its no use I'm talking to the wrong person about this." I said laying back down again and settling for watching the sky again.

"Your reason is stupid too. Even if you came here to have 'fun' as you call it with the girls. There only five of them and we are here for the whole summer. Did you really think they will just take turns sleeping with you or something?" He said and I could just hear the amusement in his voice.

"Yes? No? I don't know. I didn't give it much though." I said hating that he was kind of right. "Are they really mad at me?" I asked Forth.

"Well you really were an asshole so I'm guessing yes?" He said and I sighed.

"I didn't tell her I was suddenly going to become her boyfriend or anything!" I said annoyed.

"You should have made things clear before sleeping with her. But you didn't. Then when you realized your mistake you basically humiliated her in front of everyone. I mean come on she kept asking. Not even once did it cross your mind to just get up and have a talk with her?" He said and I gulped. It didn't even cross my mind. I really am an asshole.

"It didn't, I've never been in that kind of situation so I panicked." I said truthfully.

"Aren't you a player? How haven't you dealt with this kind of situation before?" He asked confused.

"Im kinda known by my reputation back home. So whoever I end up taking to bed they already now is a one night only thing." I said.

"Wow you really are an asshole."

"Is that like your favorite word or something.?You are an annoying little shit and I don't tell you every five seconds." I said and he laughed.

"Just have a talk with her Beam. Tell her you are not interested in a relationship and everything should be fine." Said Forth and I nodded. "Lets get out of here you've been here for like an hour already. Your face is already getting red if you stay much longer you are gonna get sunburnt." Said Forth getting out of the hammock and I did the same. As we were walking back to where everyone was Knock appeared.

"We were looking for you. The host is here with an announcement come on." He said and we followed him quickly. Once we were all there he started talking.

"You've been all having fun! Im glad. So I have a some news. First one is since you are already getting cozy with each other we are reducing the number of beds. Now you will have to share beds with someone else. The individual rooms will be used by couples only. Second you will have a workshop tomorrow to bring you guys closer so start thinking about who you want to partner with. That's all for now continue to have fun and I will see you guys tomorrow." she said before walking away. Now that we were all here I decided to clear things up once and for all.

"Mint can we talk?" I asked and she looked away.

"No! How could you do this to me? I thought we were getting to know each other better." She said in front of everyone. I really wanted to have this conversation in private.

"I mean we were I just..." I started to say but shit I was at a loss for words.

"You just what? Wanted to sleep with me?" She said offended.

"Well yeah but I thought..." this time I was cut off.

"You're an asshole Beam! I truly liked you! Since I saw you I thought I want to get to know him better he seems like a great guy. I was so wrong." She said and everyone was still here listening.

"I thought we were on the same page. I didn't know you wanted more than just sex!" I tried to defend myself. Apparently that was the wrong thing to say since she walked away crying. The girls all glared at me before following after her.

"Dudeee you just royally fucked up." Said Yatch.

"I know." I said and Forth who was beside me shook his head.

"You should've talked to her when you saw her sitting alone and you could've phrased some things better." Said Forth.

"Yeah that very useful now after I just ran my mouth and made her cry. I didn't even get to say sorry." I said.

"I cant talk for you idiot. Hopefully this will make you think twice before doing something moving forward.

The rest of the day was awkward. The girls all avoided me or just glared at me. They also didn't let me get within six feet of Mint so I couldn't talk to her. So much for a fun summer I thought. Maybe I should've joined Phana and Kit and be the fifth wheel on their vacation. I would've been just as miserable.

Another update? Im on a roll. Anyway next update comes tomorrow hopefully. Im excited to get this story moving along and I'm still following the plot I had in mind so I know what comes next and don't have to think much about it. Anyways I'm out for today I'm going to try and finish watching Bad Buddy the series since it ended today and I am a few episodes behind. As always stay safe and I will see you all on the next chapter!
