Fall for me instead (part 6)

Beam's P.O.V.

I woke up in bed alone. I rubbed the sleep from my eyes before looking around for Forth. I didn't find him so I went downstairs for breakfast. Seems like they were almost done.

"Morning." I said sitting down with a plate.

"You two didn't return to the room last night." Said Yihwa looking between us.

"I wonder why." Said Sammy and both her and Yihwa started giggling.

"Nothing happened." I said defending myself. Forth shook his head with a smile on his face.

"We didn't say something happened. But now I'm curious." She said and Yihwa agreed.

"Ah you are annoying." I said focusing on my food.

When we were done I took notice of Mint who walked back to the shared room. I wanted to apologize and hopefully clear this misunderstanding. We are stuck living here for a while so I hope she can at least forgive me. She's being way too dramatic causing a scene for everything. I quickly stood up chasing after her.

"Can we talk?" I asked as soon as we were alone.

"I don't want to. I have nothing to say to you." She said and I sighed.

"We have over a month here living together. Can you stop acting irrational for a second." I said annoyed and I could feel a rant coming from her. "Wait don't talk! Just listen to me for five second ok?" I asked.

"Fine." She said crossing her arms.

"I am really sorry for what happened. If I knew you wanted something serious I wouldn't have approached you or slept with you. It was both of our faults since you didn't make your intentions clear either. I do know I acted wrongly out of fear and I may have humiliated you but it wasn't on purpose. I just wanted to talk alone because I'm not good in this type of situation. You can hate me all you want but let's just try to be civil around each other. We don't have to cause a scene every time. It's getting old." I explained and she seemed surprisingly calm.

"I am still mad at you. But I guess we can be civil around each other. Just don't expect me to become your friend or anything." She said and I let out a relief sigh.

"I'm good with that! Thanks for understanding." I said before turning around and walking away. I don't believe she's done with the drama but it may be good enough for now I thought. On the way out I bumped into Forth.

"You scared me." I said when I noticed him walking in while I was walking out.

"Sorry, I was coming in for my book." He said and I nodded before I continued walking. I walked to the pool where Knock, Yatch, Yihwa and Sammy were hanging out.

"I made peace with Mint. At least for now." I said.

"You sure you didn't make her even madder?" Asked Knock.

"I don't think so? I said sorry and asked for things to be civil between us. Why?" I asked confused.

"Just asking since you seem like the king of messing up." He said and I pouted.

"I'm here collecting my Karma apparently. Because nothing has turned out right." I said shaking my head. Definitely not how I expected my summer to go.

"You've made it more fun. I enjoy watching the drama." Said Yatch and we all laughed.

"You better start acting like assholes soon too! I don't want to be the only one." I said.

"Don't worry I think Cho is trying to upstage you." Said Yihwa and I looked at her confused.

"Why?" I asked.

"He's flirting with Pern Pleng now." She said nodding her head towards them and they were close together and smiling. Definitely flirting.

"Wait wasn't Pern Pleng with you?" I asked Knock and he shook his head.

"Nah she was into me but I declined." He said nonchalant.

"Why?" I asked confused.

"I don't like girls." He said and my mouth formed an O.

"Ohhhh ok then. Sorry I didn't know." I said and he shrugged.

"It's ok." He said.

"So why did you all joined? I wanted to find love." Said Yihwa looking over at Sammy.

"I wanted to meet new people." Said Sammy.

"I heard there was gonna be free food and booze all day every day and I was sold." Said Yatch which earned a laugh.

"I wanted to have a fun summer." I said and pouted.

"Hey we still having fun, at your expense but it's still fun." Said Sammy and I glared at her. We all looked at Knock who was the only one left.

"I accepted because I heard the guy I'm in love with was going to join the show too and I wanted to make my move. But here I am and they aren't here so yeah." He said and we all smiled apologetically.

"That's so sad." Said Yihwa trying to comfort him. He just shrugged.

"It's ok I'm having fun. It's not like I had a chance anyway. I'd probably end up like Beam if he was here." Said Knock.

"Hey!" I said and we all laughed.

We were surprised when the host came over to us. There was an activity today. This time it was a game apparently.

"We have prepared an activity for you guys today! The winners will get to go on a date!" Said the host and we all cheered. As we were waiting for instructions I stood next to Forth.

"For a second there I thought we were gonna get in trouble for sleeping on the individual room." I said to Forth. Before he could answer someone else did.

"Why would you get in trouble? I said couples can use it." Said the host looking at us confused. I gasped and Forth laugh.

"We aren't!" Said Forth quickly. I looked at him with and eyebrow raised. I mean we weren't but didn't have to say it like that I thought annoyed. The host shrugged.

"He doesn't seem to agree. It's not good to make you partner angry." She said patting Forths back before walking away. My jaw dropped to the floor. What was she even implying!

"She was just joking." Said Forth.

"Whatever." I said annoyed.

I barely listened to the instructions of the game. I didn't have a reason to try hard enough it's not like I had someone to go on the date with. The game was easy. We all had a white board placed in front of us with phrases related to all of the contestants. I didn't put much effort just reading them once and putting the first name that popped into my mind. I couldn't win even if I tried since the first few days I didn't talk with anyone except Forth. So I was only certain about the one about me. As they were discussing the results I was in for a surprise.

"So Beam you only got two right. Yours and Forths. That's interesting." She said and I was confused but didn't question it. In the end the winners were Yatch and Pufai. Yatch of course picked Sammy. The one who surprised us was Pufai when she picked Forth. To say I was shocked was an understatement and he seemed surprised too. Dammit now I'm going to be bored all day I though. I haven't even talked to him today. I hope it rains on their date or something I thought walking away since the game was over.
