Beam's P.O.V.

I woke up to some loud ass banging on the door. I was annoyed for a second before realizing it must be Park and Lam. I looked at Forth who was still hugging me and shook him.

"What?" he mumbled groggily.

"Park and Lam are at the door." I said and he instantly sat down. That's when they started screaming.

"We warned you Forth Jaturapoom. If you don't open the door we will knock it down." Screamed Park and I looked at Forth who was rushing to open the door.

"What's your problem?!?" said Forth annoyed. I stood up to look and managed to see he was blocking the door so they couldn't enter. Still, I hid myself behind the bedroom door just in case they came in.

"You are sick and not answering. For all we know you could be dead. Now let us in we will take care of you." Said Lam this time.

"I'm fine this time." Said Forth.

"NO! We are not starting with this shit. We have a deal you have two days to where we won't bother you if you update us. You are still clearly sick and haven't answered your phone. We are not leaving. Either you let us take care of you or we are sending your ass straight to the hospital whether you want it or not." said Lam clearly mad.

"Someone is taking care of me!" said Forth and I could hear them laughing.

"Yeah, right and pigs are flying over my head right now. We know you. Normally you don't let anyone in much less when you are sick. We are not stupid." this time Lam was raising his voice at the end.

"I can prove it." Said Forth and I got scared. How can I explain to them I left the bar to take care of Forth who doesn't even consider me his friend? That's not a conversation I want to have early in the morning. Hell, I don't even want to think about this situation too much.

"How?" asked Park this time. I could hear the doubt in his voice.

"Here, look at these shoes! They are not mine! All of my shoes are black, none of them are white. They're clearly someone else's. He's been taking care of me since yesterday," said Forth. All I could hear was silence. It felt like an eternity before anyone spoke. I was holding my breath, praying they would believe him.

"Who's taking care of you?" asked Lam suspiciously and I gulped.

"That's none of your business." Said Forth and I was relieved.

"Fine, we are letting it slide for now. But you better not be lying to us." Said Lam.

"I'm not. Can I leave now?" asked Forth impatiently.

"Answer your phone every once in a while. Or we will be back." said Lam.

"Yeah yeah whatever." said Forth before closing the door. I could finally breathe. Forth walked back in and looked at me standing next to the door with an eyebrow raised.

"Do you still have a fever? Let me check." I said walking closer to him. He let me and I touched his forehead which was just a little warm.

"Better than yesterday. How are you feeling?" I asked making eye contact.

"Still sick but better." he said and I nodded.

"That's good." I nodded relieved.

"I'm actually a little hungry." He said and I was surprised.

"I will order food right now. Take a bath in the meantime." I said and he nodded.

I quickly ordered a simple breakfast. While Forth was in the shower I made the bed then sat down to text Phana and Kit. The food was on the way. A couple of minutes later Forth came out of the bathroom. Hair wet and walking slowly. He sat down on the floor drying his hair with a towel but not doing a good job. I moved to the edge of the bed next to him and took the towel. He glared at me.

"I will dry your hair. Calm down." I said and when he didn't protest I proceeded to dry his hair. He leaned back almost falling asleep again but the knock on the door woke him up. "That must be the food." I said walking to the door. He stayed where he was sitting while I went to pick it up.

"Thank you for everything Beam." he said sincerely when I handed him the food. I was a little taken aback but smiled.

"You don't have to thank me. You also took care of me." I said and he nodded starting to eat. We ate in silence. Forth was last in thought for a while. I was too. I couldn't help but think why he even helped me that day. Lam words kept replaying in my head how he doesn't let anyone in much less when he is sick. I can understand I barged in against his protest. But that day he could've easily ignored me. We were not friends. We were barely acquaintances. Maybe I'm thinking too much. I looked at Forth who was finishing his food quietly.

"Was the food good?" I asked getting out of my head. he just nodded. I looked at him confused. "What did you go back to throwing tantrums?" I joked.

"No, I was just thinking." He said.

"About what?" I asked. He just shrugged.

"I think you should go." He said avoiding eye contact.

"But you're still sick."

"I know but I'm feeling better thanks to you. Besides I don't want you getting sick again because of me." He said and I looked at him with an eyebrow raised.

"I'm not leaving. I'm sorry you can hate me after. But I just can't you are still sick and don't take care of yourself when you are alone." I said and he sighed.

"Well don't say I didn't try to give you a way out." He said walking back to his room. I sighed picking up the plates and giving him a few minutes alone while I cleaned. When I was done I hesitated but still entered the room it was time for him to take his meds. He quickly looked up from where he was lying on the bed.

"I thought you left." He said looking away.

"I said I wasn't going anywhere Forth. Here take your meds if you want to keep sleeping." I said handing him the medicine and some water. I sat down beside him on the bed and he put his head on my shoulder.

"Thank you for putting up with me even if you don't have to."

"Stop saying thanks. I know you are grateful. I'm also here because I want to so stop trying to kick me out ok?" he hugged me.

"Fine, I will try." He said.

The rest of the day was spent lazing around. Thankfully he didn't try to kick me out again.
