Is it love? (Part 3)

Beam's P.O.V.

With a heavy heart I walked back to bed. I miss Forth. We used to have so much fun. Now everything is messed up. We've had fights before this but they never lasted a day. This time two days have passed and I see no end. I just laid in my bed miserably. I know I'm at fault too I just don't know how to fix this. He's right I will be on alert all the time and overthinking everything he does now that I'm aware of his feelings. I felt myself tearing up again nothings ever going to be the same again.

"Beam?" I heard the door opening and I quickly wiped my tears. I look up to see Forth. "Stop crying! I don't like seeing you like that it makes me feel worst." He said.

"I'm sorry I can't help it! I'm sad!" I sniffled.

"If I could take back what I said I would! If I could make my feelings disappear I would do that too in a heartbeat. You know that." He said sadly and it broke my heart. We are both suffering. This is so unfair.

"Let's just try to put this behind us ok? I don't want to lose my best friend." I said and he quickly nodded.

"So what now?" He asked.

"Let's just hang out! I'm tired of being here alone and bored. Let's play video games in your room or something. I just want to get out of here, I don't like this room." I said and he smiled.

"Ok then let's go." He said and I happily stood up to go to his room. As I sat on his bed while he set up the game console the only thing that crossed my mind was him saying I love you. I tried to shake the thought away and focus on him.

"Come on I really bought a new game for us to play. I was so excited to show this to you." He said and I quickly walked to my gaming chair. We both had a double gaming setup side by side. I put on my headphones and we quickly started playing getting immersed in the game. About an hour in mom came to bring us some snacks. I could tell she was relieved to see us both together again.

"Have fun! I will make sure no one disturbs you two! I'm so happy you've made up." She said and we just nodded. It wasn't long before she left.

We spent hours playing just talking about the game but it was so much fun! Way better than being in my room all day doing nothing. Mom even brought us dinner to our rooms so we didn't have to go back downstairs. I was getting tired when it was reaching one in the morning but we were working as a team to complete this mission and we were about to win. We both said this would be the last game of the day so we really wanted to win. I put all my focus into the game and in the end we did win. I stood up from the seat screaming.

"YESSS WE FUCKING DID IT! TAKE THAT SUCKERS!" I screamed then looked at Forth who was doing the same.

"YES WE MAKE THE BEST TEAM!" Said Forth. We high fived. After we were done I threw myself in his bed.

"Damn I'm freaking tired." I said letting out a yawn and he did the same.

"Me too, I couldn't sleep yesterday." He said and I turned to look at him guilty.

"Forth..." I said softly.

"I'm sorry I shouldn't have brought it up." He said and I looked down.

"I should go to my room." I said standing up and he just looked away. I know he's hurt but I didn't know what else to do. That night I was the one who couldn't sleep. I'm the morning Forth woke me up when he knocked.

"Shit I need to take a bath first." I said when I opened the door.

"You should be awake already! They are going to come look for us soon." He said and I nodded.

"I'll be quick." I said grabbing my clothes and rushing to the bathroom. In no time I was ready. We starting walking downstairs when I noticed aunty Linda coming upstairs.
