Betrayal (part 9)

A.N.

Well I have a funny story for you guys. I completely forgot I decided to change the ending of this story at the last minute and I was planning on adding a few more chapters. I've been scheduling my updates a few weeks in advance in case I get busy you won't have to wait for me. Well I forgot to schedule the new chapters and I've been really busy so I haven't been on Wattpad. But I thought you guys were still getting regular updates. Then I was checking my email account and I saw a Wattpad notification of a comment and I was like let me see I've been so busy I haven't checked for new comments and votes. Imagine my surprise when the comment was asking for the last chapter of this story and I thought you guys were already on the new one 😭. Needless to say I am mortified I was so distracted. Don't worry thought I bring you 3 chapters compiled into one to make up for lost time. There's still one more chapter left coming tomorrow. I separated it because it was a time skip and it felt wrong to me putting it here with the other chapters HAHAHA sorry that's how my weird brain works. Anyways enjoy and I will try to not make this mistake again. And thank you Bridev90 for unintentionally making me aware of the situation.

Forth's P.O.V.

It was easy to fall in love with Beam. In fact, I think a part of me already did love him. But him being more comfortable around me and letting that cold facade he always had down in front of me. I didn't stand a chance. I could tell he was a little wary still but I don't mind I just need to reassure him. Yesterday we had a great night I got to know him even better. I wanted to spend time today with him but he was working the booth again at his faculty. He had to stay more time since yesterday he left unexpectedly to follow me. So I came to see him. Seeing the smile on his face when I approached him was priceless.

"What are you doing here?" He asked when I was close enough.

"I came to see you." I said hugging him first. We hadn't discussed if he wanted to keep this on the down low so I was being careful. But he let me pull him into a hug so I made the next move and kissed him on the lips. He was startled at first but returned the kiss. He was smiling when he pulled back and his cheeks were a bit red.

"You didn't have to. I will be busy over here." He said looking around to see if anyone was paying attention to us.

"I don't mind. I can help. Or even just be here while you do your work." I said and he smiled.

"Ok then I just need to finish selling what's on the table and I'm free to go." He said and I looked over to see there wasn't much left.

"Orrrr I can just buy what you have left and we can enjoy our time together." I said and he wanted to smile but instead glared at me.

"What are you going to do with all of this if you buy it?" He asked humoring me.

"Have you seen my friends? That wouldn't last for two seconds on their sight." I said and he shook his head but laughed nonetheless.

"Fine let's take this to them then." He said and I smiled triumphantly helping him put the sweets into a bag. "I will charge you full price. This is for charity." He said serious for a second.

"I know I don't mind." I said and he nodded.

"Still there's like a hundred dollars here." He said finishing counting the cookies and sweets. I took out my wallet.

"Well since is for charity here's two hundred. It should cover it and a little more." He looked at me wide eyed.

"You sure?" He asked and I put the money on his hand.

"Yes, I'm sure." I said and he handed me the bag.

"Ok then. Well let's put everything away then I need to take the money to Mrs. Smith." He said and we started picking things up. Once we were done I grabbed the two bags full of sweets and Beam had the money in an envelope. We were walking side by side with me following Beam. I moved the bags so the two of them were on my right arm and grabbed Beam's hand with my left. He didn't say anything just intertwined our fingers and I was happy. We were walking and chatting when I felt Beam stiffen beside me and tried to release my hand. I looked at him confused and followed his line of sight. There were Phana and Wayo walking towards us. I squeezed his hand moving even closer to him. I had already crossed paths with them a few times and everything seemed fine. This time though Phana was glaring at our hands while Wayo had a smile on his face.
