I want you for myself (part 8)

Beam's P.O.V.

I haven't talked with Forth since yesterday at lunch. He usually texts me goodnight or some shit. But he was quiet yesterday and I didn't know what to talk to him about. So I didn't text him either. It was almost lunch time and I decided to text him first even if it pains me to do so.

-Are you coming for lunch today?- Beam

-Miss me already?- Forth answered and I rolled my eyes. I shouldn't have texted this idiot.

-of course no you idiot. I was just wondering because you have been coming lately. But now you better not show your ugly face around here.- Beam.

-Wow so loving! I'll be there in 15 buy me food if you buy for yourself I'll pay you when I get there.- Forth.

-whatever, what do you want?- Beam

-Pad Thai and some water- Forth.

-Ok, anything else?- Beam

-Just you.- Forth. I stared at my phone feeling my cheeks heating up.

-Stop it you idiot!- I said putting my phone on my back pocket. I'm not answering him anymore. I ordered food for us and went to sit at my usual table. Today Phana and Kit decided to eat out but I stayed in case that idiot Forth really came.

"Thank you for the food!" Said Forth sitting across from me.

"I shouldn't have bought you anything." I said and he chuckled.

"But you did." He smirked and I glared at him.

"Whatever just eat before I take it." I said and he made a zipper motion with his hand before starting to eat. Of course it didn't last for two minutes before we started bickering again.

"Well lunch is almost over for me I'm leaving. I'll see you tomorrow." I said standing up.

"See you tomorrow." He said. I was about to ask why he's coming back but instead I just smiled and nodded before turning away. As I was walking to the classroom I met Phana and Kit who were giving me weird looks.

"You really like him." Said Kit and I felt my cheeks heat up.

"Lower your voice! I don't like him!" I said pulling them farther away from Forth so he couldn't possibly hear us.

"You just came from having lunch smiling and walking like you were on cloud 9" said Phana.

"Fine, whatever. I may have a tiny little crush. Nothing to worry about." I admitted and Phana stopped walking looking serious. "What?" I asked.

"You know he likes Wayo right?" Said Phana.

"He doesn't, at least not anymore. Besides you are together with Wayo. He even went with me to pick up the gifts for him." I said and Phana still looked at me suspiciously.

"I don't know but I wouldn't trust it Beam. He still liked Wayo and when he realized he wouldn't get him he changed his target. That seems suspicious to me." Said Phana.

"He's not like that." I said trying to defend him but he managed to get me thinking. I kept on walking to the classroom leaving them behind. I tried not to let it bother me. Not to even think about it. But somehow Phanas words kept ringing in my head.

He did use to like Wayo! The only reason he stopped was because I got in the middle. By the time we were over bickering it was already too late to get a chance with Wayo. So he moved on to me. Am I the rebound then?

When class was over I was the first one to stand up. I quickly grabbed my things and started walking away. I'm pretty sure Phana and Kit were calling for me but I just left. I was walking to my car lost in thought. I was startled when I felt someone grab me by the shoulders.

"Hey are you ok? I've been calling you and you just ignored me." He said. I looked up to see the cause of my troubled heart.

"I'm ok just lost in thought." I said trying to smile at him. He looked at me for a second before pulling me closer and putting his arms around me hugging me tightly.

"You sure? You don't seem ok?" He said rubbing my back comfortingly.

"It's nothing really. Just thinking about something." I said. He frowned looking at me.

"I know something's bothering you but its ok if you don't want to talk about it. Is there anything I can do to help?" He asked and I shook my head.

"Hey, what are you doing here anyway?" I asked realizing he shouldn't be.

"I wanted to invite you to hang out. Meet my friends if you want to." He said and I couldn't help but smile.

"You actually have other friends? Or did you pay them?" I asked holding back my laughter and he rolled his eyes.

"Very funny, I'm reconsidering my decision." He said and I laughed.

"Fine I'll go." I said.

"Ok, we are meeting for dinner at the Korean BBQ place. Should we go together or do you want to take your car with you?"

"I think I'll take my car and follow you there." I said and he nodded. I got on my car and he got on his bike.

We stopped at a red light and he stopped beside my car. He opened his helmet and winked at me. I just smiled and shook my head. I don't know if Phana is right. I don't even know if Forth even considers me as more than a friend. But I do know that I enjoy spending my time with him and he makes me happy. That's all that matters at the moment. I'm going to enjoy my time with him and if something were to happen I will cross that bridge when I get to it. With that in mind I followed Forth to the restaurant. We parked side by side and I followed him inside. There waiting for us were two other guys.

"Guys this is Beam, Beam this is Park and Lam my engineering friends." He said and I waved at them.

"Wow you're real, we thought he was joking." Said Lam and they all nodded.

"I could say the same. I didn't believe him when he told me he had other friends." I said sitting down and they all laughed.

"I like him! Beam I officially welcome you to the group!" Said the guy named Park and Lam nodded. I looked at Forth who was smiling.

"I will let that one slide but it will be the only one." He said and I just smiled. Tonight's going to be a great night.
