Tommy always called himself "wife-haver" as a joke, but as life went on, Tubbo realized it might be true one day.

The Minecrafts and Underscores had been invited to the village festival that evening. Tubbo was thrilled his best friend was going with him, mainly because Tubbo didn't like big crowds. The village's parties were nice, but always so loud.

Tommy and Tubbo were both 17, and Phil, Tommys dad, didn't really care about relationships. Wilbur was possibly the most attractive man in town, and Techno just didn't like attention. Schlatt, Tubbos dad, didn't really care either. But he did say "If you're marrying someone, just make sure they've got money," When they got to the festival from their little house a bit away.

Tubbo had just rolled eyes then. All he'll probably ever do is do shit with Tommy. Right?

Tubbo saw Tommy by the apple tree nearby. "Tommy!!" He waved, and Tommy grinned. Tubbo ran up the hill and hugged his best friend. "I'm glad you're here," he said, now leaning against the tree. Tommy grinned "Of course! Big man Tommy Innit Minecraft is going to get all the women!" Tommy joked, but it did actually seem to happen.

Tommy looked handsome, to say the least. He (I CANT DESCRIBE IT SOB) His golden hair was brushed and fluffy, probably Wilburs doing, and his blue eyes sparkled. Tubbo looked... mediocre. He had some black pants a a baggy white shirt with poofy sleeves, like someone stole it from a privateer (cough schlatt cough).

"You probably will," Tubbo replied as he noticed a slim figure. It was one of the village girls their age. "I think Lily's looking at you, bossman," Tubbo told his friend. Tommy looked up in surprise, it was true. He waved, and Lily waved back. Then she ran down to the centre. Tommy smiled "C'mon Tubs! I think the music's starting!" Sure enough, Tubbo heard the guitar and violins being played. "Sure," Tubbo took his best friends hand and they ran down the hill to the festival.

People were dancing around a big fire, everyone else clapping as a beat. Tommy nudged Tubbo, glancing towards Wilbur. He was dancing with various women (probably admirers, a lot of people liked him) and laughing. Wilbur noticed his younger brother and pulled him into the exciting dance (its like a circle dance? idk) and Tommy went along, laughing. Sometime, someone had put a flower crown on Tommys head like he was royalty. Tubbo thought he probably could be a prince.

But what would that make him?

Tommy kept dancing, and Tubbo eventually sat down on a log. Suddenly, some of the crowd parted, revealing a handsome tall young man with fluffy brown hair. He wore a (any one of these shirts https://images.app.goo.gl/xXKw9JHmRdK75dCYA i cant do details cri) with pants with pockets and big boots. Almost immediately, some girls asked him to dance. Obviously not used to attention, he said "Uh... later, perhaps?" and the girls shuffled back into the crowd.

Tubbo stared at the stranger, and then the stranger stared at him. Tubbo quickly looked at his dirty leather shoes, and rested his head on his hand, arm on leg (wtf is it called guys). The boy made his way over to Tubbo and bowed slightly, one eye open. "I don't really know how to do this" He whispered, which made Tubbo giggle a little. He cleared his throat "Yeah, I'll dance with you" Tubbo said, slightly louder. People didn't watch the tall boy anymore, now looking and smiling at the dancers. The boy took Tubbos hand and started dancing to the new slow beat of the song.

"Thanks for the save. By the way, I'm Ranboo," He smiled.

"I'm Tubbo, and no problem! Where'd you come from, by the way? Because most people know how to ask for a dance," Tubbo replied.

"I'm... a traveler. I'm usually alone, and never stay in one place for long. This is the first place I've been to that has hosted a festival," Ranboo said, and dipped Tubbo a little.

"That's interesting. At least you know how to dance," Tubbo smiled.

"Mhm. I was taught at home. I haven't danced in a long time, though," Ranboo chuckled.

The two kept dancing until Tubbo realized something.

"Uh... Ranboo?"

"What?"

"We're kinda floating?"

Ranboo looked down and sure enough, they were around an inch off the ground. No one had noticed yet. Ranboo silently cursed. He knew he should've emptied his pockets.

"What do we do???" Tubbo whispered frantically.

"Keep dancing," Ranboo replied calmly. Tubbo gulped, but did as he said. Tubbo stepped back, Ranboo stepped forward, and they went up a little bit. Ranboo was aware of the eyes on them now, and also aware of Tubbos fear.

"Hey. Look at me." Ranboo said calmly, and Tubbo looked into his greyish blue eyes. They were very pretty, actually.

"Your eyes are pretty," Tubbo said absentmindedly.

"Thank you," Ranboo smiled.

"I'm getting lost in them," Tubbo joked, trying to forget the people looking at them.

"Well get out, jeez." Ranboo said sarcastically. Tubbo hummed for a second and replied "No, it's warm." The two giggled, and the townspeople watched as two boys seemed to fly, dancing to the music, laughing.

Eventually Ranboo looked down. "Hmm, maybe we should descend." He decided.

"Uh, yes, we should descend. But how?" Tubbo scoffed.

Ranboo glanced at a nearby roof. "Trust me, okay?"

"Okay?"

"Aight, cool. Hang on!"

Ranboo suddenly unclasped his hand from Tubbos and picked him up bridal style, then gracefully leaping onto the rooftop. Tubbo shut his eyes, feeling the wind ruffle his hair. "You're okay now, by the way," Ranboo said, and Tubbo opened an eye. He carefully got out of Ranboos arms and onto the rooftop. "Did you just pick me up bridal style?" Tubbo grumbled. Ranboo laughed and helped the boy down from the top.

When they got to normal ground, everyone was staring at them. Immediately, Tubbo started feeling nervous. Then someone shouted "The tall one's a witch!! He tried teh kidnap the boy!! GET HIM!!!" and the crowd roared in agreement. Tubbos eyes widened as Ranboo pulled his arm and ran to the entrance of the woods.

They got to the entrance of the forest with an angry mob in the distance. Tubbo was sweating and confused. "Ranboo?! Where will you go?" He said, trying not to cry. He'd only known him for a few minutes, but it felt like they'd been friends forever. But Ranboo just stayed silent until Tubbo was between the crowd and his friend. "Ranboo?" Tubbo whispered.

Ranboo just put two fingers up to his head and smirked.

"See ya soon, Tubbo Beloved"

The boy saluted and then... he was gone.

Everyone stared at where the boy had been. No one moved until Techno shouted "Search the woods!" and proceeded to do so. Tommy and Wilbur ran to Tubbos side, who was still staring at the spot. "Tubs! Are you okay? Did the witch hurt you or some shit?" Tommy asked worriedly, and Tubbo snapped out of his daze. "No. No, he didn't do anything." He said, but Wilbur still examined him. "Sorry you had to meet a witch, Tubs" he sounded genuinely sorry.

Tubbo just smiled. "Ah, it's okay Wil. I'm not sorry."

Ranboo watched from high above on a tree branch. He smiled. Maybe he'd find Tubbo one day. For now, it was fucking around with the villagers trying to hunt him. And then find home.
