Tommy was always very outgoing and loud, like a normal extrovert would be.
His best friend Tubbo, though, was always very soft spoken and sometimes chaotic, like a normal introvert would be.
And Tommy knew when Tubbos social battery drained, and if he didn't make an excuse to go, it would be hell for his friend.
For example...
Tommy, Wilbur, Tubbo, and Jack were talking about random shitty ideas for L'Manburg. They came up with an object, then added to that object somehow to the Drug Van.
"Fuckin huge umbrella" Jack started.
"What color though?" Wilbur asked, but Jack couldn't think of anything.
"Red!!" Tommy put in, grinning. "Mah color"
"Now Tubbo?" Wilbur turned towards the small brunette.
"Hmm.. roof" Tubbo said, smiling faintly.
This went on for a while, making random things up and going around the circle, vowing to make it real.
Tommy noticed that every round Tubbos voice got quieter and softer, until finally on round, like, 23, he said something.
"Uh.. bed. I'm kinda tired guys, also it looks like it's gonna rain." He said, glancing at Tubbo.
Wilbur nodded, noticing the glance and looked over at a the seemingly upbeat brunette. Wilbur mentally slapped himself, and his voices started arguing. Of course, the small goat hybrid was drained from talking and interacting with people all day.
"Mmm. Yeah, we need rest for training and stuff tomorrow." Wilbur agreed, and opened the vans door, letting Tubbo inside first.
(also i have this hc thing where the Van just has multiple rooms inside, kinda like that one episode in Barbie Life In The Dreamhouse where you can fit a whole 100 mile walk in closet in a normal malibu house)
When Wilbur and Jack returned to their respected rooms, Tubbo hugged Tommy in the hallway.
"Thank you." He murmured.
"Of course, Tubs" Tommy smiled.
From then on, Tommy and Wilbur have been very observant about their brother figure.
