"I think he likes me!" Tubbo said hopefully. Quackity scoffed, "Tubbo, honey, that's demented. Of course he doesn't like you!"

Tubbos posture wilted and he held the ring Ranboo had given him tightly in his hand.

'Tubbo, I got you this!'

Ranboo opened his hand to reveal a shiny ring on his palm.

'Wow! This gold looks real!' Tubbo gasped.

Ranboo chuckled 'It is real! And I engraved Underscore on it too.'

Tubbos eyes widened. It was hard to find gold, much less hard to engrave things.

'You did this for me?' He asked softly. Ranboo nodded, and Tubbo ran into his chest and hugged his friend. Ranboo giggled and hugged him back.

"But..." Tubbo started, but Quackity cut him off. "Look at you! You think that he's impressed?" He said, rolling his eyes. Tubbos hand came up to the burn on his face, and Quackitys expression softened the slightest bit.

"Don't be a dummy! Come with mummy" Quackity spread his arms out for a hug, and Tubbo remembered all the times he'd ran into those arms when he was feeling too stressed working for Schlatt.

"Mother-"

"NO!" Tubbo shouted.

"No?" Quackitys smile turned into a cold, hard expression. His arms dropped to his sides.

"Oh. I see how it is" Quackity smirked.

"Tubbo knows best! Tubbo's so mature now! What a little grown up miss!" Quackity teased, and pinched Tubbos burned cheek. The boy winced in pain and brushed Quackitys hand off.

"Tubbo knows best! Fine, if you're so sure now, go ahead and give him this!" Quackity threw a small letter at him. Tubbos eyes widened. "How did you-"

"THIS IS WHY HE'S HERE! Don't let him deceive you! Give it to him once you'll see!" Quackity said, throwing his arms up.

"I will!" Tubbo said, holding the paper close to his heart.

Quackity snapped his fingers "That's how fast he'll leave you! I WON'T SAY I TOLD YOU SO!" He said angrily, and he felt for the two rings in his pocket.

"No, Tubbo knows best! Go and put him to the test!" Quackity wrapped his arm around Tubbos shoulders and poked the letter.

"Mother, wait.." Tubbo said, reaching out for Quackitys arm, but he pulled away sharply.

"IF HE'S LYING DON'T COME CRYING!" Quackity shouted, feeling tears at the tip of his eyes.

"MOTHER KNOWS BEST!"
