Tubbo had woken up multiple times every night and every week. Ranboo was always awake and there to hug him, rubbing Tubbos back and drying Tubbos tears.
One morning, Tubbo had awoken early and rubbed his eyes. Ranboo was already up and getting a shirt on when Tubbo glimpsed something dark grey, kind of like a burn.
"Boo.?" He mumbled, sitting up.
Ranboo tugged the shirt down quickly and turned around. "Good morning Bee."
"Ranboo, what was that?"
"Hm?"
Tubbo got up and poked Ranboos side as the enderman hybrid tried to back away. He winced, and Tubbos face morphed into concern.
"Did a zombie get you? Do you need a health pot or something?"
"No, no. I'm fine." Ranboo said, but Tubbo put a hand on Ranboos chest and pressed it lightly, making Ranboo wince again before backing away more.
"No, you're not." Tubbo made Ranboo sit on the bed. "Wait, I'm getting a health pot."
"Bee, I'm fine" Ranboo tried to protest, but Tubbo shook his head and retreated into the pantry downstairs.
Tubbo came back with a red liquid, and lifted up a bit of Ranboos shirt.

"What are these?" Tubbo asked, tracing dark grey lines.
"Mm" Ranboo hummed, ignoring his husbands question.
"Boo."
"..burn marks" Ranboo mumbled.
"What? How'd you get burn marks..?" Tubbo trailed off, slowly gasping.
"Oh god, it's me, isn't it?" He realized.
"No, Bee, it isn't." Ranboo tried, but Tubbo shook his head.
"No, it is! Tears burn you, don't they? This is all me?" Tubbo looked at him, scared.
"No, it isn't you."
"It is, it's me, it's always me-"
"Bee. It's not you. I'm the one who chose to love you, right?" Ranboo said firmly.
Tubbo faltered. "But.."
"I'm the one with the decision to care for you, and I'm not letting go." Tubbo buried his head into Ranboos shoulder.
"Thank you, Boo."
"Of course, Bee." Ranboo smiled.
