Fundy opened his eyes.

There was dim lighting, which didn't really matter because he could see a little in the dark. And he was laying on a couch? He got up and looked around.

The walls were a soft pastel yellow, and the floor was hardwood planks. There were windows that hid the outside with pastel dark blue curtains. Fundy rubbed his eyes. It all looked familiar, but also everything looked so new.

He picked up a picture frame resting on the small circle tabletop next to the couch. The picture had a beautiful red-haired woman with gills, for some reason. A tall handsome man with fluffy curly hair stood next to her, smiling like he was proud to have this photo taken. Then...

Fundys breath hitched. It was him, wasn't it? He traced the outline of baby him. He had little fox ears and a fluffy little tail.

"My little champion!" Wilbur had said.

Fundys tail absent-mindedly curled around himself. He still had that orange hair. He still had those forest green eyes.

He was in his old living room, wasn't he?

Yes. Yes, everything made sense now. The colors, the furniture.. It had all been his childhood. He remembered sitting on this couch, his mother reading him stories.

Fundy touched the brown leather couch. Brown had been Sallys favorite color.

Fundy glanced at the red carpet. Red had been Wilburs favorite color.

The boy walked over to the fireplace with no fire. He touched the mantle with all the little things he had made. All the little sculptured he'd made out of spare items Wilbur had found and brought home.

He stroked the curtains on the window and peeked through. There was their forest backyard.

Tears in Fundys eyes threatened to spill, and Fundy rubbed his eyes. When he opened them again, he realized there was a hallway.

There was a bright white light at the end of it. There seemed to be two shadows, one tall and one short. The shorter shadow had long curly hair, and the taller shadow opened its arms.

Fundy smiled faintly and looked around his families old living room. He had had so many good memories in there.

Fundy walked into the light.
