Summary: SCP-045 is an icosahedron made of very pressurized ice (Ice VII). It has the ability to turn nitrogen gas into water and argon gas into salt. It is to be kept deep underwater, as far away from Earth's atmosphere as possible, as the adverse effects of it coming into contact with the atmosphere could be catastrophic, turning the air we breathe into sea water. Sometimes, it spins, causing earthquakes and doubling its area of effect for as long as it was spinning.
Usefulness: Not useful. It can't be controlled, and its effects can only be described as detrimental to life on Earth.
Against 682: 682 has survived things such as SCP-096 (The Shy Guy), so I doubt drowning him would even remotely work.
