Summary: SCP-099 is a painting called "The Portrait", painted by René Magritte in 1935. The painting itself causes paranoia and lingering psychological damage in people when viewed for too long at too close a distance, enough for certain details in the painting to be witnessed. Detailed photos and reproductions of the painting also exhibit the memetic effects. Affected subjects report believing that anything around them possessing eyes, whether living or inanimate, is staring directly at them. In extreme cases, subjects report inanimate objects with no eyes are staring at them. Depending on how long the painting is viewed, the paranoia may last until death, and may extend to believing that people are staring at the subject, even though said people are completely turned away from the subject. No other René Magritte painting displays any memetic properties, so it is unknown if the effect was intentional.

Usefulness: There is a certain way we could weaponize this painting, but it would only result in severe paranoia of the subjects we were weaponizing it against. Sort of useful but not really.

Against 682: Paranoia won't kill 682, and he may learn to replicate the painting's effects, or be smart enough to not view it in the first place.
