Summary: SCP-089 is a statue of a winged humanoid with a bull head and an open mouth. The statue also has a cavity in the torso, where the door to said cavity can be locked form the outside. Every so often, vocalizations will emit from 089, in a Canaanite language. 089 will say a name/description of a mother somewhere in the world, a command for Protocol M8 to be accomplished, instructions for completing the protocol, and a figurative description of a catastrophic event that could happen anywhere on the globe. Should the protocol be followed, the event will either cease activity or won't happen at all. Event will continue until the protocol is enacted. Protocol M8 involves a mother sacrificing her baby/infant to "Moloch" by burning it alive in its torso compartment. The mother must choose to do it of her own free will, she cannot be sedated during the execution and nor can the child.
Usefulness: Useful for stopping certain largescale natural/man-made disasters. Of course, they may be started by 089 itself.
Against 682: Unless "Moloch" offers to magically stop a 682 containment breach in its tracks, or causes one that a sacrifice would stop, we have no way of knowing if "Moloch" is even capable of stopping 682.
