Summary: SCP-078 is a pink neon sign displaying the phrase "TOO LATE TO DIE YOUNG." The anomalous effect is only present when the sign is turned on and stared at for more than 10 seconds. Subjects must also be able to understand what the sign says to be affected. After exposure, subjects begin to perceive extra sentences appearing beside handwritten pieces of writing. The style of the perceived text is inconsistent with the subject's handwriting. The messages start out by giving the subject peace of mind about something they're guilty about, but it soon escalates from there. Instead of the sentences being positive/reassuring they start to become more negative/rationalizing. "Your work will save humanity" vs. "they never loved you anyway." Soon, the sentences will even rationalize choices the subject had already made, driving the subject to further rationalize anything and everything, leading to malnutrition due to subjects extensively analyzing if each bite of food was the right choice. The handwriting of subjects lost to 078's effects will begin to show up for other victims of 078's effects.
Usefulness: Not useful.
Against 682: I don't think 682 feels he's guilty of anything, besides not being able to destroy humanity fast enough. We definitely don't need to strengthen 682's will to destroy humanity and more. Also, how often is 682 exposed to handwritten things anyways?
