Settling In

This pattern continued on for another three days until they reached the mountains just outside Denver, Colorado. Klaus let out a small chuckle when Isadora climbed over his lamp to look out the window. As if by instinct, Klaus securely wrapped his arms around the small girl to ensure she didn't fall. It was only about another ten minutes more before they pulled up to a beautiful house.

Once the car was stopped and everyone started to pile out, Isadora tried to make a break for the house; her excitement getting the best of her. Finn was able to catch her before she could get too far and handed her to Damon. Making sure he had a tight hold on Isadora, Damon grabbed his bag and started towards the house. Klaus was quick to follow them, keeping a watchful eye on the pair. Elijah was first to the door and unlocked it for the group. He handed each of them their own key before everyone split off. Isadora and Damon hadn't been to the house before, but it wasn't a secret they would be sharing Klaus' room.

"This is amazing," Isadora commented, looking at the room.

"I gotta agree," Damon said.

The room was a mix of light greys and a creamy off-white with subtle touches of darker colors, like dark wood for the bed frame. The floor-to-ceiling windows on the end of the room let in plenty of natural light as the medium grey curtains were pulled back, leaving the windows covered by a sheer white curtain. A king-sized bed took up a good portion of the center of the room, and a creamy rug with dark grey designs just below it. Opposite the bed was an electric fireplace with a bit of detailing and a flat-screen TV nestled above it.

Klaus came up behind Isadora and wrapped his arms around her. "Well, I'm glad you both like my room."

"It's got Klaus written all over it," Damon playfully snarked.

"You can call me Nik you know," Klaus said with an eye roll.

"I know," Damon said to him, nuzzling into his side.

Klaus wrapped an arm around Damon, kissing his head. He gently led the pair over to the bed, finding himself again in the middle. A comfortable silence fell over the trio as they snuggled together; their bond settling some. Klaus was running one hand along Isadora's side and rubbing small circles on Damon's back with the other. They each kissed both sides of his neck in return making Klaus let out a small moan at the sparks he felt. Suddenly, the bed was empty and Klaus was the only one in the room. He let out a low growl when he realized the pair was teasing him. His wolf nearly pushed to the surface, wanting to let the pair know who was the alpha of the relationship. But, instead, he managed to shove the need down and headed to the kitchen for a snack.

He didn't see Damon or Isadora again until hours later when he finally decided it was time for bed. Klaus was mouse quiet as he walked to the bedroom and closed the door, pulling his shirt off as he went. In the soft glow of the TV, he could see his mates curled up on the bed together. He smiled at their sleeping forms before heading to the closest to change into PJs. After he was changed, Klaus carefully slipped into bed on the opposite side Damon was on.
