"Ehem!"

Francheska's attempt to kiss Khae's nose was held off. The voice sounded familiar to her. She stopped and looked to Nica's direction. She was standing there with two other girls. Nica was looking at her. Is it just me or did I see jealousy in her eyes? Francheska thought.

Khae was surprised seeing Nica with Christine, and--- her! Her eyes widened as she looked at the girl who hasn't left her mind since this morning. She is really pretty. Her eyes roamed over the girl's face. Oh, she's got nice lips, cute nose, and of course those eyes... Their eyes met. Again, she felt that weird feeling taking over her. Why do I feel like I'm being drawn to her eyes?

"Mwah!" Francheska planted a kiss on Khae's nose. "That's for you being so adorbs, Mikhaela Lim!" she exclaimed and winked at her.

Khae was caught off guard. She didn't see that coming. She was busy staring at the girl. I wonder what her name is, she thought.

"Hi! Sorry for interrupting—your moment" Nica said and gave a forced smile to Khae and Francheska.

"Hi Lindtsey! Hi girls." Christine waved and greeted them. She gave her sweetest smile to Lindtsey. But Lindtsey just looked at her and did not even bother to smile back.

"Hi, what's up?" The four finally let go of each other. Khae tucked her hair behind her ear. She greeted the girls.

"I just wanted to give you these." Nica handed them pamphlets.

"You'll see here all the upcoming activities of each department. Included also there are the school's events. 'Thought you might be interested to join in any of those." Christine said. She still can't take her eyes off of Lindtsey.

"And also, Gwen wanted to invite you for an upcoming event personally, but she's busy today. By the way girls, this is her cousin—Aiah." Nica introduced Aiah to everyone.

"Hello, nice to meet you." said Aiah.

"Aiah..." What a beautiful name", Khae thought.

Later that day...

"How was your first day?" Ivy, Gwen's mom greeted the two girls with a kiss on their cheeks. Gwen and Aiah just arrived from school.

"Hi, Mom." Gwen kissed her mom followed by Aiah.

"Hi, Tita! It was fine, Tita. I've met Nica and Christine today. They're both nice." Aiah answered.

"Oh, that's good!" How are they? It's been a while since they came over." Ivy asked.

"They're fine, Mom." Gwen said to Ivy.

"Glad to know that" She said smiling. "Oh" She looked at her watch. "Almost time for dinner, go to your room and freshen up. I'll call you when food is served, 'kay? I cooked your favorites." Ivy said. The two girls thanked Ivy before heading to their room.

It's been two months since Aiah left Cebu and moved here. Aiah feels blessed to have her aunt and cousin with her. Transferring to Manila and enrolling to a new school had been easier because of their help. She even gets to stay in their house for free. She feels really happy to finally be here. It took her three years to convince her parents to let her study in Manila. Although Ivy and Gwen were really supportive of her with convincing her parents; it wasn't easy for Mr. and Mrs. Arceta to let go of their only daughter.
