Nadia in the media:

The sound of the door flying open was enough to jolt me from my sleep so early in the morning.

"WAKE UP! YOU KNOW THE DRILL" Ms. Melody went from room to room yelling for us to get up.

"alright Lyra" Nadia got up quicker than I ever could in months.

Not being a morning person made the whole situation worse. I couldn't even get myself ready every morning without constantly having thoughts of my bed, now I have to serve a whole person.

"we only have an hour to eat and get dressed so get up" she had to practically yank me off my bed and I hit the floor on my bare butt.

We rushed into the bathroom together; each facing a side and going over our morning routines.

She took 10 minutes while I took 20. Again, not a morning person. It was too early to do this.

After that, she went to choose between the uniforms that were already kept.

There were so many different sizes but I decided to go for the smallest. They were all the same awful shade of gray.

The maid uniforms were fairly modest, reaching below our knees and stopping mid calf. The torso was slightly fitted and could be adjusted to our liking with strings. The sleeve stopped above the elbow, for better movement.

Then I took the smallest pair of boots. It fit me like a glove.

Nadia did her hair and it was perfectly done. Not a single strand out of place. I would have left my hair cascading down my shoulders but Nadia advised having my hair put up would make it easier for me to move around.

After watching my failed attempt at tying my hair, she finally came in and helped me.

Awesome.

From there, we went to where servants ate and it was really large and spacious. But not grand. I mean why would it be? We're servants.

There were four long tables that had chairs on either side. The chairs looked uncomfortable and the tables had scratches from those before us.

"c'mon" Nadia quickly took a seat and I sat next to her while observing the whole place.

We were served with eggs, liver, a bit of red meat, things that were good for the blood. I forgot we were being prepared to be someone's lunch eventually.

As scrumptious as the meal sounds, it didn't look too good. Like it was rushed and served.

Guards were patrolling, making sure everything was in order. I mean who would want to pick fights during these times. The rations didn't even look enough but I'd take what I can get.

Servants were in a hurry to finish their meals and hurry over to their assigned places of work. They were downing it like chewing wasn't a thing.

I didn't want to be left behind so I decided to join them. Hopefully I don't choke.

Within a matter of minutes, me and Nadia were done.
