Before I know it, there's 10 or 12 people surrounding me, begging to be on my team for the calvary battle.

"I don't know what any of your quirks are!" I blurt.

They then proceed to complain about how I don't know their names or their quirks even though I've been in class with them all year and blah blah blah.

But there is one quirk I know of, who's face I don't see. Glitch-girl's. Which is weird, I thought for sure she'd be first in line to be teamed up with me. I look around, and spot her with an even bigger group of people trying to work with her.

Hey, what gives? She only got 4th place in the obstacle race, and I got 3rd! ...But I guess everyone wants to work with someone that can teleport. Her quirk would be extremely useful to any team... which is why I need her on mine.

I ignore the people surrounding me and shove my way through Glitch-girl's groupies until I'm standing right in front of her. There's about 20 people circled around us now.

"Hey," I say proudly.

"Oh, hey Kitty-kat," she replies with a sweet smile.

I can feel my face turning red.

What the hell is wrong with this lunatic?! I can't believe she just said that in front of all these people!

Everyone looks at her in horror and awe. I don't think they can believe what just came out of her mouth either.

"Hey, don't call me that!" I yell.

She rolls her eyes. "Did you need something?"

"Why aren't you asking to be on my team? You follow me around everywhere else."

She folds her arms. "Oh, I didn't think you wanted to be on my team. Y'know, 'cause you're always telling to go away."

Of course, leave it to Glitch-girl to suddenly act all proud when there's a group of people watching. But I know how bad she secretly wants to work with me. I know, 'cause she'd jump at any opportunity to be near me, so she can annoy me at close quarters.

"I don't want to be on your team," I say as I fold my arms back at her. "I want you to me on my team."

Her proud expression disappears and her face lights up with joy. "Awe, Kitty-kat! You want me to be on your team?!" she exclaims, before flinging her arms around me and squeezing.

I stand there awkwardly, arms still folded across my chest as this lunatic holds onto me. My first instinct it to shove her off, but I don't want to push a girl in front of all these people- the pros are watching. "Let go of me," I say through clenched teeth.

She pulls away. "Does that mean we're friends now?" she asks, excitedly.

"No! Shut up! Your quirk is just useful."

She crosses her arms again. "Oh, so you're just using me for my extremely powerful and versatile quirk, one that would almost guarantee a win."

"Oh my god," I groan. "Forget it."

I'm not about to beg, there's plenty of others dying to work with me.

"Wait!" she laughs. "I was just messing with you. I'd love to be on your team," she says with a smile. "But if I'm on your team, so is he." She points to Weird-hair. "I already told him we'd work together."

I roll my eyes. "I was already planning on having Weird-hair on my team."

"My names Kirishima, remember?!" he exclaims. "And my hair's not that different from yours!"

"Whatever."

Kirishima puts an arm around each of us. "Aw, both my buddies! Workin' together. I love it!"

"Okay, so we need one more person," Glitch-girl says in a hushed voice, so the others can't hear. "What about Sero?"

"Who?" I look around.

"Him," she points at Soy sauce-face.

"Why?"

"His quirk can be useful."

"What's his quirk?"

"Sero!" Glitch-girl beckons him over, and the rest of the crowd disperses.

"C'mon Bakugo, he sits at our table!" says Kirishima. "You don't know his name or his quirk?"

"Shut up, you! Just tell me what it is."

"It's tape," says Soy sauce-face.

Glitch-girl looks at me. "I'm guessing you wanna be rider, Kitty-kat?"

"Duh."

"Alright, here's my plan."

We all huddle up.

"We kill Deku!" I say.

That's the only viable option here. We need that ten million if we wanna lock down first place.

She points at me. "Exactly!"

Finally, she shows some sense.

"Alright, well, Kiri should be the front horse because he can withstand your explosions with his hardening," she says.

The group nods in agreement.

"So you can use your quirk to propel yourself around, right Kitty-kat?"

"Um, yeah," I mutter. "But how does that help us? It's a calvary battle."

"Yes, but with Sero's quirk, he can pull you back in before your feet hit the ground. So you'll be like a projectile attacker! It's an edge that I don't think anyone else will have."

I narrow my eyes. "And what about you, Glitch-girl? Can't you just glitch us wherever we need to go?"

She winces. "Welll, here's the thing. If I try to glitch all four of us around a bunch of times, I'll probably pass out. It takes a lot of energy. We wouldn't want anyone..." She leans in and lowers her voice. "Left behind."

"Wait, what does that mean?" asks Soy sauce-face.

The other three of us exchange glances.

"If you can't teleport us, then what's the point of having you on my team?!" I exclaim.

What a waste of time and energy.

"I mean, if you wanna let me be rider-" she says, out of one corner of her mouth.

"Hell no!" I interject.

"Then shut up. I can glitch our group probably once or twice. But I really don't like doing that, so I'll only do it in an emergency. Like, a win-or-lose situation."

"Alright," Kirishima punches his palm. "So you're our secret weapon."

I scoff. "But you're useless until then."

She smirks. "Would you rather work against me, Kitty-kat? You know you'd be the first headband I'd go for."

I guess she's right, she'd be extremely annoying if she was just glitching around snatching headbands freely. It's best to have her nerfed on my team than full power on someone else's.

"Whatever," I say, rolling my eyes. "This plan of yours better work."
