"Thats where you come in, kitten."

"What?" I chuckle.

"You're gonna be our little spy."

My smile quickly fades. "I'm what?"

Shiggy rolls over on his side to look at me, propping his head up on his hand. "Think about it. You're the right age, you have a flashy quirk that would definitely get you past the entrance exam, it's perfect." He tucks my hair behind my ear. "And I know I can trust you with this."

I turn to face him, and snake my arms around sides, burying my face into his tshirt. "No fucking way I'm doing that," I mutter.

This man has lost his mind if he thinks that me going undercover is a good idea.

"Oh, c'mon, kitten," he says as he wraps his arms around me lovingly. "Aren't you always saying you're tired of being cooped up? This is your chance to go out in the world."

"And hang out with a bunch of wannabe heroes all day? That's not exactly my crowd, alleycat."

As much as I've been wanting to get out of the house, the thought of being surrounded by people who's whole life's purpose is to stop people like me isn't very enticing.

"Besides," I add, "I could never get away with it. You know I can't lie."

"Well, don't think of it as lying, just pretending. The only lie you have to tell is your name. Other than that, you can just be yourself."

"Just be myself? My villain self?"

"Just don't happen to mention any of your criminal endeavors. It's really not that hard."

"Then why don't you do it?"

"Kitten, you know I can't. And if I could trust anyone else with a job as important as this, I would. But you're the only one I know who wouldn't fuck this up."

"And what if I do fuck it up?"

"You won't. All you have to do is attend classes and tell me what you're doing. You won't even have to do any scheming or sneaking around."

Well, jeez. If you're trying to convince me of something, don't take all the fun out of it.

"But scheming and sneaking around is what I'm good at," I say.

"Then we can utilize those skills of yours!" Shiggy says, giving me a squeeze. "For something even better than heists."

Psh. Like anything is better than heists.

I guess it could be kinda fun though, being a spy. Going undercover on enemy grounds, gathering intelligence, secretly plotting against my classmates and teachers, all while pretending to be one of them. It'd be like the movies.

However, as exciting of an endeavor as it may be, I'm just about the last person who should be chosen as a double-agent.

"People would ask questions," I sigh.
