I can never get used to seeing Kai out of school uniform. She's dressed pretty simply, with the same outfit from the karaoke bar, only with a white tank top instead of black, but the way she carries herself makes her look so... cool. Something about the way she sits on the train with one leg up, biting the nail on her thumb, she's just so casual, and so attractive. I keep catching myself staring, but it's so hard not to. She's stunning.

On the train ride to the park, every word she speaks and every movement she makes just pulls me in more and more. Everything about her is captivating, and I can't seem to take my eyes off of her. I can feel myself falling harder for her as every moment passes by, and it kinda scares me. It almost feels like I'm at the point of no return.

The more I listen to her speak, the more I start to notice that she talks kinda funny. I can't place my finger on it, but there's something off about how her silvery voice articulates her words. Almost a sort of accent, and the way she uses different colloquial words and phrases from all over the country is strange. She says she's never been on a plane before, but she talks like she's lived everywhere.

Kai never fails at puzzling me. The more I study her, the more confused I get, but I think that's part of her appeal. She's just so different from anyone I've ever known, and I love that about her. I find myself wanting to know the places she's been, the experiences she's had, and what makes her tick. the more I get to know her, the more I want to figure her out.

It doesn't seem like long before we arrive at the amusement park, and as soon as we walk through the gates, she grabs my hand and makes a break for the new rollercoaster. She's obviously very excited, laughing as she runs through all the people like a little kid. Her cheery attitude must be contagious, because I find myself laughing along with her.

The line for the rollercoaster is pretty gnarly, but again, it doesn't feel like we've been waiting very long by the time we get to the front. Time with Kai seems to fly by for some reason.

The rollercoaster is honestly pretty insane, with drops from incredible heights to so many loops it makes you dizzy. Kai and I both scream our hearts out in both terror and excitement, and when it's finally over, she looks at me with wonder in her eyes.

"We have to do that again!" she says.

"No way, the line for this thing sucks!"

She leans in close and talks low so no one can hear. "That's what my quirk is for," she says with a smirk.

   "What?"

She grabs my hand and snaps her fingers, glitching us right back to the front of the line.

"Wait, what are you doing?!" I say.

   "We're going again!"

I find myself smiling as I shake my head. "Some hero you are."

She smiles excitedly. "Didn't you hear?" she chuckles, "All the cool people are half hero, half villain! Get with the times, Kitty-kat!" she says with a laugh as she jumps into a seat. "Come on!"

We end up riding the coaster about 6-7 more times, each time even more fun than the last, until someone finally realizes what we're doing.

"Hey, you're cutting the line!" complains some snot-nosed kid.

"Yeah, I've buckled you guys in like 5 times already!" says the ride conductor. "Are you using your quirk or something? That's not allowed in this park. I'm gonna have to ask you two to leave. What's your names?"

Kai looks at me with an excited smile, then grabs my hand and glitches us away.

Next thing I know, we're sitting next to one another at the very top of the ferris wheel.
