Class A has a long day of quirk training exercises and group building activities. It's a lot of work, but it's also really fun. One of the last things we do is set up our tents. I decide to set mine up right outside of the woods, sort of far away from everyone else's.

When night eventually falls on the campgrounds, we're free to do whatever we want, and we run straight for the lake. It's cold today, so swimming isn't an option, but we have canoes enough for about half of us.

"I call dibs!" I yell and leap into one.

For some stupid reason, the entire thing crumbles into little pieces of wood and I splash straight into the frigid water.

The entire class laughs, and I'm immediately pissed off.

"What the hell?!" I yell, now treading water. "What kind of boats are these?"

"15 year old canoes that are rotting and full of leaks," mutters Aizawa sensei.

I crawl out of the water and shake off like a wet dog.

"Awe, Kitty-kat." Kai says with a pat of my back. "Let's go back to the fire."

I raise an eyebrow at her. "Oh, so you're talking to me again?"

"Well, I thought about what you said, and... you're right. I'm not just gonna stop being friends with you just 'cause daddy said so."

"Who says I even still wanna be your friend?"

"Oh, shut up. You know you love me."

I roll my eyes, secretly kinda glad that she came to her senses.

The class makes our way back to the fire to make s'mores, and the others start to tell stories about bigfoot and ghosts and all kinds of bullshit like that. No one's story was more bullshit than Kai's though, who said she met Slenderman when she was a kid, and he's the one who gave her her quirk. At least she's back to her usual self.

I decide to go to bed early, my clothes are wet and my tent is set up pretty far away.

A few minutes after I finally get settled in my tent, it starts pouring outside out of nowhere. I'm glad that I got into my tent when I did, I'm sure the others are screaming and running for shelter right about now. The rain has made the cool air even cooler, and I'm glad to be safe and dry in here.

The sound of the thunder and rain sets a nice ambiance, and I drift off to sleep pretty easily.

I wake up to the sound of my tent being unzipped, and I sit up.

What the hell?

Kai then pops her head in through the opening, hair dripping wet from the freezing rain. "Can I come in?!" she asks frantically.

"Wh- What are you doing?!"

"Thanks!" She unzips the rest of the door and lets her soaking wet self into my nice and dry tent. "I was caught in the rain," she says, "It's freezing out there!"

"Can't you just teleport to your tent?" I ask, annoyed.

She cringes. "Wellll, here's the thing. I never actually... set it up."

"Then what the hell were you doing for the hour that we had to set up our tents?"

She pauses. "I was... um... on a walk."

"You took a walk?"

She nods.

"And you waited until it was dark and raining to set up your shelter for the night?"
